bought a box of stuff today at a yard sale for $13 CDN
in it was a complete Sega Genesis system with 5 games, 2 controllers etc
(it even works) ...

an am/fm battery radio with headphones and 4 3ft RG59U patchcords

and something called a Virtual BOY...for NES...
it's this wierd giant viewer that it looks like you look thru...it sits on a
1 foot high tripod with a black controller that plugs into it...that seems to take
a ton of AA batteries...

what is it...which system was it for....how do I hook it up....there seems to be
some type of interface connector recessed into the front of it...but I didn't get
any cord that would allow me to hook it up to any game console.

we have both the original NES 8bit and SNES at home...

thanx in advance for any responses

The Virtual Boy is a console all it's own. If you flip it over there should
be a serial number sticker on the bottom, right by that is the slot where
the cartridges go in. They were slightly larger than a Gameboy cart.

The batteries go in the box on the controller, the controller plugs into the
right hand side of the VB and the carts plug in the bottom. That's it! Oh,
you might want to be prepared for the fact that all the games are in 3D, and
although the VB is 32 bit it only displays graphics in shades of red.

There was also an AC adapter which would take the place of the battery
compartment on the controller. That's what I have set up so I didn't need to
worry about the batteries.

So, did you get any games for it?

It isn't FOR any system at all. The Virtual Boy is its OWN system

Even without carts it's worth a lot more than $5 to collectors. Check E-bay,
they're more like $20.
