thanx a lot

The midge mallet can be had from the old dwarf in Gaia's Navel (I got
it only as I was about to beat the game). As for the magical armor, I
did not find it.
Now, I have some questions as well; in case anyone missed them, there
are two small islands in Mana that are not part of the main storyline.
One has a lighthouse, and the other is actually a giant turtle-shell.
Anyway, the merchant on the turtle-shell island gives you something
which you place in your pocket. Is there some use for this? Also, I
did not find the moogle belt; who has it? And one last question; I
found a 'secret door' in the Inn of the mushroom palace. If you go to
the right-hand corner of the Inn, and go down, you can walk through a
black hallway and into the area behind the bar. Has anyone else found
any secret doors, and is there any use for this one?
Oh yeah, I just thought of another one: In the walk-through that is in
the back of the manual, it hints that you may be able to pick up 'a
companion' (I assume the sprite) in Gaia's Navel before you actually
get to the dwarven village. Anyone do it?

Thanx! I found it now, and I heard from a few people that the ??? armors can
only be gotten from the dead enemies in mana fortress. . . that seems very
unreliable though, I myself got an amulet ring there when I was going through.

This lets you get the moogle belt thingy. . . if you remember in kakkara they
needed a sea hare's tail to get water, and thats what the merchant gives you

I havent even found the one you are talking about I think. . . is there
anything there? I havent found any other truly secret doors ( there were some
that werent obviously doors but you could tell)

Actually I tried to do it, although I understood the hint differently, it said
that when you pick up the sprite you might already have the girl as your
companion. Well, I tried doing that and picking up the girl as you go through
pandora, but in fact its not a great idea. You see she refuses to go with you
to gaias navel, and if you go on she goes off without you. So you pick up the
sprite and then go for the girl, I had to look for her quite a bit but then I
found her right before elina castle (makes sense sorta), she went to look for
Dyluck alone :), I thought that that order of doing things would get all the
characters' levels closer together, but in fact it brought them slightly
apart.
Have fun

That's right, look for blue blobs with a pair of large palms, beat
them, and you'll get the armour. Repeat to get 3 of them. Other enemies inside
the Mana fortress also carry other types of armour, some for the girl only,
and some for you. There's even an Orb to get your sword (possibly other
weapons too) to level 9. But I've forgot where have I got the extra Orb.
Anyone has an idea to where that is?

According to my Japanese Magazine the secret passage in the Mushroom
shop is uesless. And here's a trick if you haven't finished the game yet:
Head back to your home town before finishing the game: Just walk
towards the guy blocking your way to the town, keep on pushing against him
as you tap the select button crazy. Now you've walk passed him and you can
visit the spot where you've pulled off the mana sword! (wooo) And you can
also talk to your froster parent, etc. But don't save game since you can't
get out of the town the same way!
Rest: press L,R,select, start at the same time. (done that the first
time when I was inside the mana fortress, pissed the shit outta me! :)
Watch the moves: In 2-players mode, get one of the player using a
weapon with level 8 and charge up to that level, then the other player hit
Y and switch his/her weapon with the first player's charged up weapon.
Next thing you'll see the first player executing the second player's weapon
in level 8! Neeto. So you can finally see what the Axe or Bommerang is at
level 8. :-)
Have even more fun! :) See ya. Lancer.

Give it to the king of desert village (I forgot the name of village). Then,
the village will have waters back, and the king will give you moogle belt.

Hrm I rented this game played it one night and got about halfway
through it. I loved it so much I bought it, and won it in a weekend.
There went 80 bucks, heh heh. Yeah the Moogle Belt you get when you
give em the water. Never found that hammer though, hmmm. It is
extremely easy to win this game and there is a place on the citadel
in the sky where you can just sit there and kill stuff for free.
Just wield a missile weapon and shoot across the chasm at the
Tsunami things that undergo mitosis. All you have to do is
occasionally pick up a chest and they will regen forever and never be
able to hit you. Cheers!
