Are there any secrets in Final Fantasy One?

I remember one about some guy who you can fight in some narrow corridor,
but theres a 1 in 256 chance of him showing up or something. Any other
secrets?

Already have beaten all 3. Just wondered what I missed in 1.

You're thinking of the 1 in 256 chance of fighting the Warmech in the floating
castle.

That's not even a secret...

The only one I know about is to get on the ship and keep pressing A until a
screen with a puzzle game shows up. Or was it B?? Geez, that was so long
ago... Try both. Just press the button about 40-50 times.

Warmech isn't much of a secret. The only "Secret" I can think of is
that invisible guy in the first castle. I have gotten the pink tail
with the gunslinger code. It has a bunch of crap to do it so E-mail me
if you want it... Also, contrary to popular belief, the Bomb call spell
is the best in the game. On level 99 (even lower I think) it does 9999
on the monster and calls in under 3 seconds. It only uses 5 of 10 magic
points also. The best. If you don't belive me just go and use it and
you'll see. It sounds wussie, but it's not...

It is pretty lame that I can still remember this. The code is actually
this: when you are on the ship, push and hold A. Then push the B button
about fifty times. This is easier if you have the turbo controler or
the NES MAX. The screen will fade out and you will be able to play that
game where you slide the #'s around trying to put them in order. There
is no prize for winning, it is just there so that you can take a break for
a minute.
The other secret is that in Coronea (whaterver) castle, if you walk around,
somewhere on the top left quarter of the castle is an invisible man who
says something like, "the princess was looking for you". He says something
different if you havent saved her, but I don't remember what.
And the chance is actually 1 in 63. He is fun to fight but he is very hard.

It's even more lame (lamer?) that I can remember this: There actually IS
a prize for winning...You get 100 GP. Wow.

Probably Warmech, on the passage to Tiamat in the flying citadel. On the
other hand, I've met up with Warmech a lot more often than I have the pink
puffs in FF2... has ANYONE gotten the pink tail? And is there a game Genie
code to get it?
The other calling spells are cool, too.

Look out Zeromus-here comes IMP!
