I called EB this afternoon, and they said they received their first
3DO, but sold it to some guy on a waiting list. I haven't called any other
store, so I'm not sure if this guy was just talking out of his ass or not.
Has anyone else heard anything?

More on 3DO. Games Galore is now pre-ordering 22 3DO games. The owner
listed the prices and they averaged about $50. (Mad Dog McCree was 65 but
it comes with a gun.). The bad news is that the list sucked. More then 2/3
of them were crappy childrens programs or video tours of zoos and whatnot.

To those of you who said they hope 3DO doesn't release any of the "me too"
software: Wake up! Without them there will be no 3DO in the future. $700
to amuse my kid is ridiculous. We all know kids generally don't give a
damn about Barbar, when there's a real video game somewhere in the house.
The only games that will save the 3DO from the CD-I junkpile are fighting
games and sport games. Aces Over Europe? Ummmmm, no thanks. Been there,
done that on a computer.

Really? And I thought Aces Over Europe has not been released yet. Everyone in
c.s.i.p.g.flight-sim is waiting for it. What, you got it before anyone did?

I suppose it depends on what you like more. I personally would love a 24-bit
Aces Over Europe, chasing the Messershmits(sp?) in a P-51D Mustang or a
Supermarine Spitfire. Now, if the game would allow us to use the Me-262
against the allied forces (serious BUFF killer!!)...

Anyway, about the 3DO. Waldonsoft and EB (here on the west coast) both said
that they will be getting theirs on Friday, I suppose to coincide with the
October 1 release date. I've called 2 local Waldonsofts and 2 EBs here in the
bay area and they told me the same thing, so I guess it's two more days...
