Yes, it's true. In today's business section of the S.F Chronicle (Aug.
15,1996), Nintendo officially announced a $50 price-cut on the U.S.
Nintendo 64 unit. The company "slashed the price of the Nintendo 64 to
$199 from $249 to match price cuts of rivals Sony Corp. and Sega
Enterprises Co...."
