Stopped by a thrift to paw over their bags o' carts to see what might
show. "Garbage, crap, mega-crap, two in this one I'd want and one
odd-looking case...wonder what that is...*erk!*...Shuttle Orbiter!" I
beat it out of there before the kid working the TV area could see what
got me so excited.

Anyway, I can't figure this game out to save my life. Seems a shame
to have it and not be able to play it. A crappy game that's not worth
playing is one thing, but a game you don't play just because it's not
intuitive is another.

I'm begging for somebody who owns the docs to Shuttle Orbiter to
consider donating some time to typing them up for inclusion on the
manual archive. If that's not your idea of fun, I'll happily type
them up myself if I had a photocopy of them. I'll even pay for the
cost of photocopying.

Other finds: CoCo3 + four carts, and a Sega Sports Pad--a spiffy
little trakball. Think I might be adapting that one to other systems.

"Defiling" controllers is not my style. Remember the thread on
adapting an NES advantage to work on a 7800? Somebody suggested a
method that required gutting a perfectly good Proline and an
Advantage. This distressed me greatly, even though Prolines have no
useful place in this universe, and Advantage sticks are a dime a
dozen, so I suggested an alternative method that did not affect the
Advantage's function at all.

I've only got this one Sports Pad (only one I've ever _seen_), and I
think it's such a neat controller that I'm certainly not going to do
anything that would affect its original function. Matter of fact,
I've already done a bit of restoration to replace a trashed cable.

Relax. The pad is quite safe.

As a proud owner of three Sports Pads, let me say that you have done
the right thing.... Anyway, to the main point of this message.

I am looking for two items for the Sega Master System, one I know was
released in Europe and a few other places and one may only be a
prototype (it was pictured in a catalog). The first is the SMS handle
controller a la "Knight Rider" I'd really like to get ahold of one of
those. The second is the Arcade Command Stick for the SMS. No, not the
Genesis joystick, this one was for the SMS, I am talking about the
black, big joystick controller that sort of resembled the NES
Advantage, it was pictured in a Sega game catalog, and may have been
never released, or possibly very limited. If anyone has any
information on this, please let me know. Thanks!

Jon

I have a Sega Joystick (made for the SMS). I don't know if it's the one
your talking about (was there more than one?) though. It says, "Sega
Control Stick" on it. And it has Model 3060 on the bottom. I actually
use it on my Atari 2600-it works great.

It's great (or as good as you can get) for playing Marble Madness on the
Genesis.
