One of my favorite 2600 games ever was called "Mines of Minos". It was
made by some weird third party company, and it was extra long...about an
inch longer than a normal 2600 cart. Unfortunately, after about 6 months
of play it got flakier and flakier until it finally died.

This game was great! Now that I've rediscovered the 2600, I wish I
remembered more about who made it... Does anyone know who did make it?
What else did they make? Why did my cart break? Where can I get another
one? Will it work with my coleco adapter?

It was made by Commavid. Most of their games are uncommon. Cosmic Swarm and
Room of Doom are favorites of mine. Past these three I think the rest of the
carts are rare.

For some reason their games tended to be flaky. I don't know if they were more
susceptible to dirt or maybe they didn't work with certain versions of the
2600. I've have troubles with Cosmic Swarm myself.

CommaVid, of Aurora, Illinois. They are the same people who did the
MagiCard, an assembler programming cart for the 2600 that used the keypad
controllers.

Besides Mines of Minos and MagiCard, they also made the games Cosmic Swarm
and Room of Doom, which I have. The lists say they also made Cakewalk,
Mission Omega, Stronghold, Underworld, and Video Life, none of which I have
seen. The lists also show Rush Hour, which was never completed.

Who knows? Perhaps it just needed to be cleaned to within an inch of its
life. Do you still have it?

CommaVid games are a really tough find now. Just keep watching the trade
lists and you might get lucky.

Probably. I don't have a working adapter, so I can't test my CommaVid games
for comparison.
