Do real boxes exist for these titles? Or are there any others that were
released this way?
While we're on the topic of Intellivision games, is Mind Strike the hardest
release to find made by Mattel? This title continues to elude me (and I'm only
missing less than a dozen Intellivision carts).

All Intellivision releases had boxes. You'll find complete games sooner or
later. You just have to keep your eyes open and ask around occasionally.
As for Mind Strike, I would not say it's the "the hardest release to find
made by Mattel". If you are wondering about just MATTEL releases (as
opposed to Intellivision cartridges from Imagic, Coleco, INTV, Parker Bros,
etc), then I would say YES - it's among the hardest of the Mattel releases.
However, ALL of the Mattel ESC releases (Melody Blaster, Scooby Doo, etc)
are equally difficult to find (in my opinion). I would not say that Mind
Strike is necessarily any more difficult to find than any other Mattel ECS
release.
Of course, there are several other NON-Mattel releases that are MUCH more
difficult to find than any of the ECS games.
Hope this helps.

Yes, there are real boxes for those games. I have the Super Pro Hockey
one, and have seen the World Cup Soccer one, but still need it for my
loose WCS....it sounds as if you got a rental copy, or home made "box".

All ECS games are difficult to find now a days....however, that being
said, Mind Strike is one of the most common of the ECS games. I am sure
there are fewer copies of Turbo, Fathom, Super Cobra, Tutankham, and even
Pinball and Motocross racing floating around. Mind Strike at least got a
Mattel release, and I think it was re released by INTV. Probably some of
the harder to find Mattel Releases would be Sharp Shot, Tron Solar Sailer,
Shark Shark, Kool Aid Man....
Of the ECS games, I think Melody Blaster, Mr Basic, Jetsons and Scooby Doo
are all harder to find than Mind Strike. As I recall, when the ECS came
out, the Baseball and Mindstrike carts were the most plentiful.
Good luck in your search.
Anyhow, the emulator has ECS support......if it ever comes out....Maybe I
should just upload it eh?.......just KIDDING! ;-)

I think Mind Strike is Damn hard to find. I've only come across one in my time.
I happen to have it available for trade as well (see my webpage). I am trading
it because I have no interest in the Intellivision computers.
BTW: Is Scooby Doo, Mind Strike and Jetsons any good? I just traded those titles
away as well.
Take care,
Lee

Or perhaps they were purchased from a retailer whom INTV dumped their stock
on -- with whatever packaging was left over.

No kidding. I still haven't seen a World Series Major League Baseball for
sale or trade anywhere, except on ebay for outrageous minimum bids. Also, I
would go so far as to say that The Jetsons' Ways With Words is probably only R
rather than ER. I don't know about Melody Blaster or Mr. BASIC Meets Bits 'n'
Bytes, but I do know that I have never seen Scooby Doo's Maze Chase for sale or
trade either.

I ordered and received these new from the Radio Shack catalog. There must
have been a lot more carts than boxes made for these titles. Other titles
like Super Pro Volleyball, Popeye, etc. came with standard boxes.
FYI - Radio Shack's supply must be dwindling, like it already has for the
Colecovision titles. A month ago all titles labelled 9.99 rang up 14.99.
Now everything INTV related rings up at 19.99! I don't know if this is legal
for them to advertise one price and charge another, but they're doing it.
Why charge more when you have less of an item? Don't they want to get rid of
these things? Most Colecovision carts are going for $30-$40!
