Well, after 6 months of hard work, Kevtris is *finally* ready for release!

Kevtris- the first new Colecovision game in over a decade! What is it,
you may ask? Well, it's a killer single/dual Tetris(r)- like game I
wrote for the Colecovision!

You can play alone or with a friend! In the dual-player mode, you can
play a down 'n dirty head-to-head game where your opponent's blocks
move *up* 1 or 2 lines whenever you get 3 or 4 lines. You can compete
with a friend to see who can get a set number of lines, or have an all-out
whomever-lasts-the-longest-wins game! Also, each player can set his/her
individual, so even players of dis-similar skill levels can compete.

If you prefer to play alone, you can have the usual play 'till you get to
the top game, set number of lines, or try for as many lines as you can
until the timer runs out! In the latter game, you get to move the pieces
manually with the control; they don't fall automatically. But, you have
to move fast, because the clock's ticking!

You can select one of two killer tunes (or silence) while you play. Many
thanks to Scottie Prince for the music. :-)

All game selection screens are fully joystick-compatible, so you don't
need to use a standard Coleco joystick; instead, you can use any
Atari 2600 stick of your choice!

There's even a high score table to record your best scores/ # of lines, too.

Avalibility:

Kevtris should start shipping in 3 weeks, provided everything goes as
planned.

What's included if you buy Kevtris:

1 cart: Cart is standard Colecovision cartridge with a nice professional
printed label.

1 instruction sheet

Each cart comes with it's own serial number, and the first 10 will be
'limited edition'. When you buy a cart, you are automatically entered into
a lottery-type drawing for a free upgrade to a limited-edition cart.
You get entered in the drawing for each cart you buy, so if you buy 2,
you get two entries into the drawing.

I will draw 10 names at random from all orders received to determine who
gets the first 10 carts. Each limited edition cart is signed by me,
and says 'Limited Edition: #xx/10' when the game is played.

Each cart is $20, plus shipping, which will run $3.50 for the first cart,
and $0.50 for each additional cart.

I'll also entertain trade offers, too.

So, if you want one (or more) of these carts, send me a note designating
the fact to: kho...@tech.iupui.edu . I'll put you on a mailing list
for the cart sale to keep you informed of it's progress.

------------------

Many thanks to the authour of Colemdos- it really sped development
time up by 2 orders of magnitude, at least!

Thanks also go to the beta-testers, and my many supporters on the IRC
channel #RGVC!

An addendum: I now have screen shots of various parts of the game, so if
you want them, e-mail me and I'll uuencode 'em and mail them to you.
