Does anyone have any answers? Can anyone come up with any good excuses
for Atari for not having Doom out yet? You'd really have to stretch to
let Atari off the hook for this one. If we want 20 games by Christmas,
we'll need ten in December. Ha ha ha.

John,

How about:

1) Doom, 2) Club Drive, 3) Checkered Flag, 4) Kanasumi Ninga, 5) Iron
Soldier, 6) Rayman, 7) Double Dragon V, 8) Troy Aikman Football, 9) The
skiing game (title escapes me ... no publicity), 10) Aircars?

I know I've missed a few other candidates. 20 games shouldn't be a problem.

Should be out soon I guess. Good article on it in the December 1994 Videogames
magazine. When you finger idsoftware.com it indicates the game is finished.
Article indicates this is the best version of Doom...period.

The first shipment of Jaguar Doom went through Atari today. Some
stores in the Bay area picked up their copies, and I expect that
carts will start showing up everywhere else anytime soon.

It's here in Columbus, Ohio...
I just picked it up about 30 minutes ago.. your keeping me from it! :)

Incredible Universe has it, but they don't have Brutal Sports Football
which I picked up at EB two days ago.

Picked it up. Pretty cool. Don't have to load DOS on my machine to play
doom anymore :)

Trav: About the article in VG magazine. Had something about how awsone
the Jag's sound routine was and the way it handled the voice modem bu
making the opponent sound like they were in various places.

How much lead time does VG have anyways? We've known for well over 2
months that the modem feature had been shelved....

Yeah. I never played it on DOS, my first experience was the Jag
version. Very nice so far.

However, my luck ran out with Jag carts apparently. I bought
Dragon and Doom at two different stores and got red screens on
both them! :-( The carts must be slightly misshapen because you
can insert them slightly off-kilter and they will work. I hope
this was just exceedingly bad luck on my part.

After reading about this, I myself got a red screen with Doom......I
just took it out, replaced it a little more forcefully and it worked....I hope
it doesn't happen again.....
I don't know.....did they put out a
bunch of bad Doom carts??

I'll have to ask Zach about that - I'd guess anywhere from 2-3
months. Of course, dropping the in-game music -was- a 'nigh on
last minute decision.
