And we are now officially over thirty games in the Jaguar world!
And what a *GOOD* game to be number thirty! #29 and 28 (Flip Out and
White Men Can't Jump) weren't bad either.

Since when is 30 "over 30"?

Anyway, since the CD is out, we'll have to count Blue Lightning first, so
Rayman is 31.

I really wanted Rayman for the Jaguar. I waited and waited for it
and it was always delayed and pushed back and whatever else.
I went to the store after work and saw it sitting there on the
shelf with the amazingly high price of $69.99 and realized, finally,
that I just can't justify paying over $70 for a game I'll be able to
get for the Playstation for, according to EB's, $59.99.
I swore before that I would never pay that much for a game on the
Jag so I guess I get to keep that oath.

Yeah, that would be nice wouldn't it. But, see, it isn't like
that. Unlike the people that Atari delusionally believe are out there
I _saved_ for a Playstation. I _saved_ for a Saturn. The Jaguar, when
it first came out and was not $150, was actually a gift. But I don't
have tons of dosh to plop down for everything. What I want I _save_
for.

>difference does $10 make? Not a whole lot (The difference btwn PSX

When you have an apartment, car insurance, groceries, and assorted
bills $10 seems like quite a bit. If I hadn't just bought the
Playstation it would be a bit different, sure, but I did. And if the
Playstation cost is less, then that's what's gonna happen. And I'm
opposed to $70 carts in the first place. Of all the games I payed $70
(for the Jaguar, that is) I don't think any of them was worth it.

> I'd support the Jaguar, if I

I've supported the Jag since before it came out. If Rayman was only
available on the Jaguar it wouldn't be an issue. But my vision has
dimmed quite a bit for the Jaguar. It's been a long time and there's
still no support, so I don't really see much activity happening in the
future.

Well, figure in the extra money for the PSX, and I think you've went over
a suitable amount of money for one game.

Bloody hell. Well, I'll see what price Babbages slaps on it even
though they're usually higher. Of course if I weren't such a dork I would
have checked the other store I pass on my way home. I'll do that tomorrow.

I suppose I could say the same as when I bought my NES and Genesis. I
would say the same about the Jag, except I didn't pay for it.

My Babbages had it for $69.95. I bought it anyway (I couldn't help
myself). Plus, with _Pulp Fiction_ pushed back until the 26th, and the Jag
CD ROM drive pushed back 'till the Second Coming, I had a little extra in
my media budget.

I just purchased Super Burnout at the Wherehouse for $48.00.
It looked like a good price to me, and I live 200 miles from
nowhere! (Not a nice game to sit back and watch, but just
try two player! Even with the split screen its awsome!)

Where do you people go to shop for your games? Egads.... I've got a local
store run by twins that own their own little shop. They have prices FAR
less than Babbages, EB, etc... There has to be some kind of specialty
store out there somewhere for most of the big cities. They have RayMan
for 59.99 for the Jaguar. Man, some of you people are getting raked over
the coals for your games. I'm sorry. :(

Just for kicks I passed by Games Express in NYC and found Rayman for
the Playstation at $49.99. I couldn't pass that up. However, the $20 I saved
is going towards the JagCD which the EB's in the Manhatten Mall had in.

I live in the distant, distant suburbs of New York City. The only
place within 40 minutes that carries Jaguar games are the big chains.
In the city there's a couple of places I go to so I can check on
imported Saturn games. They carry Jag stuff, but usually around the same
price as the chains do.
I reckon there might be places near where I work in NYC that sells Jag
stuff cheaper than usual but I haven't found it yet.

Hello. Most of use have to pay sales tax. So the above statement is right.

I luckily got mine for $59.99 (after tax, about $65).
