Missile Command 3D is targeted to be in stores as early as tomorrow
(Friday), Saturday and early next week. MC3D is the sure fire way to
have fun on the Jaguar this holiday season. Look for this winning
cartridge title or order it from your favorite mail order reseller for
quick delivery now!

Wow.... this is one week earlier than expected (8th).
I wonder what other early suprises we can expect!
This is what Atari should have been doing the whole time- well as much
as possible- giving out release dates that are a few weeks later then
the real date expected for release. Its much more pleasant to get
an early suprise than to find out a game has been delayed, ie Primal
Rage.

Isn't this earlier date when Atari ships the carts to the retailers, who will then
start selling them on the 8th?

How about UK release dates as well as US ones?
Everyone seems to forget about us over here...

games of all time.

Missile Command 3D will begin shipping tomorrow, December 1. You'll go

ballistic over three explosive game modes including the classic
favorite.

Missile Command 3D is targeted to be in stores as early as tomorrow

(Friday), Saturday and early next week. MC3D is the sure fire way to
have fun on the Jaguar this holiday season. Look for this winning
cartridge title or order it from your favorite mail order reseller for

Does anyone know when P.R. is coming out? I know it's been delayed, but
until when?

I am just wondering, although I know this has been gone over before (I am
just too lazy to dig for it) what gameplay modes are on this title. Is it
a Classic, Plus, 3D game? If so, how dead on is the classic mode. Anxious.

The December 1995 issue of Video Games has a great one-page preview of
Missile Command 3D.

The cartridge includes Classic, Plus, and 3D versions of Missile Command.
Classic is supposed to be a translation of the original arcade game. From
the pictures (which I don't have since I didn't buy the magazine), it
looked fairly close, but not exactly like the arcade game. Comparing the
"update" games to their respective arcade counterparts, I'd say MC3D's
Classic mode looks more accurate than Tempest 2000's Traditional mode,
but not as close as Defender 2000's Classic mode. Plus mode looks like
Missile Command with bigger and bolder graphics, including colorful
backdrops. 3D mode is obviously the main attraction, with polygon
graphics like Cybermorph and Iron Soldier. 3D mode (and perhaps Plus
mode, too) also have bosses at the end of each wave.

I'm a big fan of Missile Command, so you can bet I'm looking forward to
playing MC3D! Since I'm a bit short on cash at the moment, I probably
won't pick it up right away. I hope that others here will get the game
and post their opinions of it!
