Hello, just wanted to tell you what I know from reading the web and
playing FMM. Janet has unlimited ammo. All you have to do is do the
motion repeatly and quickly. b,f+P+K, b,f+P+K, b,f+P+K, etc...
Janet will do three shots in row (without putting her gun back) and
then you'll hear the Virtua Cop voice "Reload!" :) Then Janet
reloads and continues to fire. Kind of cheap! (But then again don't
even ask me about Rentahero's ground fireball)
> She reportedly has a hcb+G+P (6,3,2,1,4+G+P) "throw" that turns her
>enemy around, but I s_ck at hcb motions and haven't tried it. 8b
Yeah, that throw seems to work fine. But then, once you have done
it (and the opponent's back is to you), you can't do much except try
for a regular back-throw. So no multi-throws for sure.. :(
What I'd like to know is which VF3 moves are in FMM and which are
NOT. I hate playing Jeffry and missing out on all his new throws.
Thankfully FMM has Jeffry's "face smear" throw (d/b+P+G near wall)!!

Hey shin! It's been a while. Find VF3 in Va yet? No luck out here in
Maine. Anyway, just wanted to note that one throw that IS in there is
jeff's low side throw. Set this up and try it if you've never seen it
before. It's a crowdpleaser.

I don't know about the rest of you but I have a serious problem with the
inclusion of a gun in a martial arts sim/game. Is this _ridiculuous_ or
what? If Janet HAD to have her gun then it should of been something like
a physical attack with the butt of the gun or something like that. What a

Erm ... Compared to a panda balloon, a car, a slab of meat, a palm tree and

Oh come one, Janet is a secret character, and is no more unfair than
Siba's sword.

Just duck when she yells "Fire!" (Can't she shoot low?) IMO Siba's sword is
better than Janet's gun.
VF3 Wolf's low side throw is in FMM too. Looks Tekken-like, IMO.

I think that Siba's sword is worse, actually. The main reason is
that anyone with a reversal (Akira, Pai, Janet, Dural?) can just grab
his extended hand and reverse his sword stab. Someone reversed my
sword stab with Janet and it surprised the hell out of me. This game
is becoming more like Tekken2! :)
-Shin
Yeah, I noticed that too! A few of the Tekkenish type things in FMM:
*Siba's sword acts a little like Yoshimitsu's
*Missed throw animations
*Hit sparks and explosions (though not as noticable as Tekken 2s)
*Hidden characters activated after beating the game (complete with '?'s
on character select screen)
*Weird characters (Alex, meet Bark. Bark, meet Alex.)
*No ring outs
*More fantasy-type elements than previous VF games from AM2
Of course, FMM still plays better than Tekken 2 ;)
Okay, maybe I'm missing the definition of what her "ground throw" is.
I've heard other people say that she doesn't have one in FMM, but
Isn't this the throw you do when someone is crouching in front of you?
(D or D/F+P+K+G?) if so, then there's at least one of those in there.
Maybe in VF3 she has more than one, or you're referring to side or
back ground throws, which she doesn't seem to have, but she definitely
has a front one.
CC.
Missed throw animations are in FV and VF3.
]*Hit sparks and explosions (though not as noticable as Tekken 2s)
If your FMM has its Game Type option set to Vipers instead of Virtua Fighter.
]*Weird characters (Alex, meet Bark. Bark, meet Alex.)
This isn't strictly a FV or VF game. More like a sample of recent Sega
fighting games; includes Sonic the Fighter but excludes Last Bronx.
]Of course, FMM still plays better than Tekken 2 ;)
No comment. 8)
Those are crouch throws.
]Maybe in VF3 she has more than one, or you're referring to side or
]back ground throws, which she doesn't seem to have, but she definitely

Ground throws are used against an enemy who's prone or supine on the ground.
Eg, FV and FMM Sanman can grab and throw a knocked-down enemy.

What you're referring to is a low throw (a throw that works against
crouchers). What he was talking about is in fact a "real" ground throw:
while you're laying on the ground, Aoi reaches out for your leg and breaks
it (neat uh?) :)
Anyone knows if Jeffry and Wolf have their ground throw? Have these been
removed too?

Oh, okay. I knew about Wolf's and Jeff's in VF3 (not in Megamix,
AFAIK), but I didn't know VF3 Aoi had one (I'm just getting her
arm/leg breaks down). Thanks for clearing that up for me.
CC.
I noticed that, too. It seems that they've thrown a lot of Tekken 2
into this game. Looks like AM2 really abandoned the 'realistic'
fighting for this one.
Not that I'm complaining.:)

Well, if you're playing VF2, you just run back and your CPU opponent
will run towards you, just throw them (easiest really with Dural or
Kage's TFT...)...you'll win every time. It's not a crappy game, but a
bug in the AI (or crappy programming if you will).
Besides, FMM is a _fun_ game, while certainly not of the realism of
VF2 (duh, the Hornet ;) ), and not the grittiness and hardcore
violence of FV (some characters are comical, like Renatahero), it's a
game that is enjoyable! Especially against other people, as most
fighting games are.

Let's see....I can beat Tekken 2 by using Law's cheap flipkicks over
and over again. I can beat VF2 easy with the old bait-n-slam
technique. I can beat SF Alpha 2 by choosing Super Akuma and
constantly jumping and throwing double-fireballs. Every game has a
stupid-easy way of beating it. It just takes rocket-scientists like
you to figure them out. Real players play the game the real way, not
the cheap stupid way, not to mention most of these game are a lot more
fun against a real opponent than the CPU anyhow.
Now stop whining. If you hate Megamix so much, sell it to someone who
will appreciate it. If the Saturn is so crappy to you, sell it too.

Did you turn up the difficulty setting? FMM's default difficulty setting
seems to be designed for small children and people with no experience at
fighting games. In any case, it's kind of silly to say that a game is
crappy because you were able to beat the game easily with one of the
special hidden characters. If you find it too easy when playing Janet, then
play as somebody else. Tell me, do you also find it a walk-through when you
play Shun at maximum difficulty?
Donny? Do these exist anywhere in North America? I have heard
some rumours that Sonic the Fighters is in NA (I assume on test, as
opposed to national distribution), and what with VF3 hype and all, didn't
know *any* net-resources such as movelists existed, English or not.
If they do, a hint would have been nice (such as a URL or
something...)
Besides, FMM Janet's normal attacks do more damage than VF3 Aoi's, and Janet
wears armour. 8P
Very good points. You forgot one though. I can beat Eternal Champions
CD (one of my all time favorite fighting games) using nothing but
Midnite's "C" punch.

in english it just needs to have the moves diplayed by either pictures or
by the numeric pad. Please email me if you find any new throws for Bean

A Tails fan, actually. (:3 Ah well. I can get the StF CD import, I
think...
Sounds like you didn't get the joke. Although one would think that the
inclusion of a *car* as one of the bosses would have clued you in. Clearly,
Sega has its corporate tongue firmly in it's cheek on this one. And for the
more serious-minded, VF3 and Last Bronx are just around the corner.
Personally, I think FMM is great fun. I'm hoping that there will be a FMM2
with Last Bronx characters, too. Maybe Sega could even get together with
Capcom and arrange a cameo from one or two of the Street Fighter 3D
characters....
And remember, if you don't like a character, just play as somebody
else...there are certainly enough to go around.
Actually, Janet's gun is overrated, IMO. Just crouch under the bullets. OTOH,
her advantages over VF3 Aoi are Janet's armour and increased damage.

If you enjoy both VF2 and FV, than you should rush out to buy Fighter's
Megamix! While I would reccomend keeping VF2, you might as well get rid
of Fighting Vipers, since Fighter's Megamix seems to have almost
everything that Fighting Viper did(The only things missing that I noticed
were a few differences in the backgrounds and there is no Pepsiman, who
was only in the Japanese FV.)
Basically, Fighter's Megamix contains just about everything found in the
US Fighting Vipers, and also contains every character from Virtua Fighter
2 with different versions of their stages, most of their moves, and a few
new ones. Almost all of the VF2 characters' stages have no ring outs;
they go on forever(Wolf has a FV-type stage). Also, certain moves that
are found in Virtua Fighter 3 can be found in FMM.
As far as the rest of the game goes: There are many hidden characters to
be found in FMM, including Janet from Virtua Cop 2, who also happens to
play similar to Aoi from VF3, Bark and Bean, two characters from Sonic The
Fighters, the Daytona USA car(!), and many more.
In all, FMM is a must-have game for any fan of Virtua Fighter or Fighting
Vipers.

I think so. The ability to fight FV characters vs. VF characters, the
incorporation of many VF3 moves, the "no walls" stages, and the
availability of a training mode (nearly as good as the one in FV) for both
the FV and VF characters all make it worth the money.
