Sonic Cheats!

AYI! YAI! YAI!

For the life of me I can not get the level select/edit mode cheats to work
for my Sonic the Hedgehog game!!!

ARRRGGHH!!

I tried pressing A+Start before the animated Sonic logo and then pressing
U,D,L,R (Or the U,C,R,C,L,C,R,C) (in many different speeds, at many
different times )

and it does not work!!!

ARRRGGHH!!

Maybe I am just stupid, but I have been trying to get this working for some
time now, without any success!

can some kind sould Puh-leeZ help me and give me some rather specific info
on how to get it working?

You probably have a newer cart. Once it became widely publicized, Sega
decided to remove the cheat from the new production carts. The definitive
method is (at the title screen with the big sonic on it) correct in your
mail. Sounds like you have a new cart.

Bummer.

How about Sonic 2? Came out yesterday (Sonic 2sday). I think it's really well
done, although quite a bit easier than Sonic 1 (except for the bonus
boards which I find quite a bit harder).
