Alot of people seem to think so, some say it's too orange. Does
anyone have a better choice?

Thanks,
Matt

I've heard you need to add a touch of black with it.
Here's how mine came out:

I had some mixed up that is very close but it was expensive. It's an
automotive product made by dupont called Centari. It's a single stage
paint meaning it's not like most cars today which use a base coat /
clear coat process.
I have the paint code if anyone wants it, but the paint and reducer
ran me $72.00

Geeze! I remember "Back in the day" I had my MOPED (ah some fond memories
of mopeds during the arcade heyday!) painted with that stuff, and I wanted
to see the color in the can, so I opened it up and accidentally spilled a
few drops onto the floor.

22 YEARS later, those drops are STILL THERE! That stuff is wicked tough.

Maybe Centari is a bit overkill?

It can be sprayed with either a conventional spray gun & air
compressor or an HVLP (high volume low pressure) sprayer. I've had
good success with both.
It could also be rolled on I'm sure with a foam roller. I made a
router table years ago and rolled on several coats of Sherwin Williams
Jetglow paint, it's a bit different then centari because it is
catalized (hardner added to cure)Still,,, it worked well.
I agree it maybe overkill but I got tired of searching for a good
color match. Tried tinting several oil based yellow colors with no
luck,, I'm just glad they didn't charge me for the messed up paint!!
Centari is not as wicked as some others out there, try zinc chromate
epoxy primer,,, now that stuff is NASTY!!
The HVLP sprayers are very nice, they have little overspray and lay
down a nice coat of paint. Between this and the use of a downdraft
table filtering the air and venting outside, it's not too bad. Would
also suggest a respirator with activated charcoal filters,,, no matter
what your painting (unless latex,,IMO latex is for painting houses)
Most people won't have this stuff so I would suggest the HVLP
available from Harbor Freight,, think it's under $100.00 Good
investment as you can spray paint, enamel, lacquer, polyurethane or most
anything else,,, wouldn't use it on latex though,, too thick. Spray it
outside in the garage or backyard using a respirator and it will go
fine. Harbor freight part number is ITEM 44677-3VGA
sells for $70.00 harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=44677

Any other questions let me know,,, otherwise good luck:)
