For XEVIOUS it contains the following :

> it's usually in the lower part of the river on the far left or far
> right. it's position moves around so you need to bomb the whole river.
>Hint on second mothership:
> just before the escort you are swarmed by ships and 1 anti air craft
> gun, there are 4 missels silos in a small clearing. They are layed

> you will have an easiser time getting to the second mother ship.
> Hit the second mother ship as it is comming down!! don't let it start
> moving with you!!
>Xevious Name Trick (Contributor : Tad Perry) :
>Xevious includes a hidden name trick. The display
>can be brought up by bombing at the extreme
>right of the screen at the very beginning of
>the game before any enemies have appeared.
>The exact spot is marked by a slightly larger
>than normal dark shadow in the trees. Even
>if you don't know the exact spot you can usually
>get it out by bombing all over the place over
>there on the right side. You also score 1000 points
>for pulling this off.
Whilst on the subject, does anyone know what the crystal is for? This object shoots
out of the back of the Andor Genesis mother ship as it explodes and is also
annotated on the machine's list of enemies.

Disclaimer : Computervision are no-way associated with my comments
or this fish.
I always thought it was just an escape pod and nothing more.
The EVEZOO programmer name, which has been described in the previous few
posts, but is worth 10 points, I believe, not 1000. Also, in Area 7,
the word "Namco" can be found in the forest if you look closely enough.
I don't think you have to do anything for this one except pay attention.
The interesting thing about the manual is that it shows the 4 Special
Flags as showing up in certain locations, but the only the first one is
the same for my game. There are 1 each in Area 1, 3, 5 and 7, but only
the one in Area 1 is the same in both versions. I just found the
"alternate" 7 on my game a few weeks ago, so I now know where they all
are for sure. The machine at the Vandy arcade has the other version,
which I discovered this past weekend by bringing up the popup between
the two north/south peninsulas toward the end of the flying shields
(Bakula). My version has it at the back edge of the airfield near the
end of the level.
I can give you more details if you like, but a lot of the fun is finding
them yourself!
