besides, i need money and i don't care where it comes from. i am living
off pizza pops. lol.

i had no problems, but i sold to him, i don't buy much due to myself
being ripped off.

I hope so too for your sake. He screwed a friend of mine over by
taking his money for a Cine XY monitor. Strung him along for months
saying he shipped it, then it got returned, then it was broken until
he finally told the guy he was screwing him over and wouldn't give his
money back. Oh well...I hope Mr. Bonifeces is on the level and you
guys get your stuff but I'd be extremely skeptical about it.

Hasn't anyone thought about filing Federal mail fraud charges against this
guy? I mean it seems to me if you keep every piece of correspondence with
the guy you would have a pretty open and shut case.

Any Lawyers in this group? How about some advice.

Hi,

There have been numerous reports on this subject. All someone had to do
was search Google. If you did not do that shame on you. If you did do
that and went ahead with a deal, then oh fucking well.

All ou have to do is ask about someone here and you'll usually get a
littany of responses about that person.

You'll find most of us are good to deal with, but there are always
some bad apples in the bunch.

IANAL, but, having spoken to a few, along with a few postmasters:

You can't file mail fraud charges against anyone unless they SOLICIT
your money/payment through the US mail. It doesn't matter if you send
your eBay payment through registered mail, have their signature on the
check, and a letter from them saying "Ha Ha, I got your money and am
screwing you over.", you still can't file mail fraud charges.
Don't get me wrong, I certainly wish you could...

There are two ways to proceed against someone stealing in this manner.
One, if it's over $300.00(most states) it is considered a felony, so
contact law enforcement(theft/fraud divisions). Two, if it's someone
doing business over multiple state lines, try contacting interstate
commerce commission or a state attourney general's office(especially
if you have names of others that have been 'ripped off' as this can
start a case moving when multiple complaints are registered to it).
Persistance is key to either of these working(especially the first as
the police tend to be very lazy and don't want to work any harder than
they have to.)

man, this guy really ripped a lot of people off.
i had a bad trade with him myself.
i traded him a complete joust board for a
working black and white monitor (for a space invaders).
when i got it, it was NOT working, rusted
and looked like it was sitting in water for 2 years.

im not sure about you guys, but i have been
getting ripped off more and more in the past few
months. both on ebay and the newsgroup.

Yes, I agree. People are getting ripped off more and more.
We really have to be careful.

I arranged a trade with "fantasia" (fant...@noln.com) for a Crazy
Kong pcb.
Sent out the marquees that were to be traded - and received nothing.
He wont even answer my emails.

What a joke.
