This is an email exchange I just had tonight....I have gotten over the years
quite a few "requests" like this....this one is particularly endearing! Tell
me what you think!

A Lesser man would break down....here is the first email I got from this
youngster.....

hi there,
i saw one of your post on the internet regarding your FREE arcade cabinet. Do
you still have any available, i ll be glad to take one of your hands.
Thanks in advance
-Michael

Yes...both are still outside and ready to take....we will be knocking one apart
tonight to put into the dumpster tonight (collected in the early am)...so I
would suggest coming before 10pm tonight to select from both! Todd

Yes!!!!! i want your arcade cabinets. please reserve them for me so i can have
them both. Can i be able to have your address? Thanks in advance.
And please dont give them away, i have been wanting one forever.
Thanks a lot
-Michael

Download a map from website http://www.tntamusements.com/ for location. Todd

ok, i will check it out right now. But are the arcades in good condition? or
are they broken in massive ways? also are they gutted or is something included?
like coindoors.
thank you so much
-Michael

The coin door is on one game, and some wiring and a transformer, both are good
condition...one is going into dumpster at 10pm tonight (as we have trash pickup
tomorrow) Todd

Btw are they in good condition? can i see pictures?
-Michael

sorry, no pictures available... Todd

Oh you live in philadelphia? i live in morgan hill, near san jose. There is no
way i can make it there till 10pm. is there a way you can send the arcades and
i'll pay a little shipping?
thank you

San Jose is just 2866 miles away...I can freight it to you for just $300
each...simply paypal me the $$$ and I will get them out tomorrow! (Please add
$35 for each for crating costs). Todd

im sorry buy $300 is too much to pay and that for each. Can we make the deal
work somehow?
becuase i think it would be really wasting if you just throw them in the dump,
can't we arrange something?
-Michael

Well, I can lose money on it---any time I can save a game from
destruction...how about if I ship you both games for $25 (I will pay the
shipping company the other $550 and then also absorb the crating costs too).
Todd

well if you are willing to let me have them for $25, then we have a deal.
-Michael

WONDERFUL! I cannot WAIT to give the shipping company $550, as I am
incredibly wealthy....I will ship them out freight collect tomorrow!!!!!!!!
(I will need a small handling fee though---say $550) Todd

ok i see where this is going, so i guess no deal heh? :-)
Well thanks anyway -Michael

yes...a BIG CLUNK! Todd

well thank you anyway -Michael

One day, i'd love to be in the US again, passing and come and meet you.
I've already been told your place is worth seeing, and it sounds like
your sense of humour is pretty cool too :O)

It makes me wander what half of these guys can ever be thinking!!

Bit like sending the fish shop (aquatic, not food) apprentice off for 4
metres of filopean tubing (and no i can't spell that!), and yes, a mate
really did do that to his apprentice last weekend, took more than a day
for him to realise he was being wound up apparently.

Anyways....

thanks for the email! Please go to my website...if you have high speed, watch
our infomercial...its full of funny stuff (including throwing a Ms Pacman and a
Black Knight off a 2 story roof...BOY, the emails I got about that! "You
should have given those games away rather than smash them"...and "Don't you
EVER do that again! I will come and take the games off your hands!" But of
course, I continue to list cabinets here for free, and a number of them never
get picked up and off to the dump...It costs me $5 a game to take them to the
dump too! But, I can throw one a week out in my dumpster in pieces--which is
where this Star Wars cabinet is headed to in the next hour! If you are coming
to the PinBall Expo in Chicago in October, I will be giving a seminar about
Retail sales of both Pins and Videos...m,aybe you'll be there?

Hey, I live near Morgan Hill, maybe you can pay the freight to my house and
I'll deliver them and collect the $550 and then of course you'd have to
split it with me. wait thats worse.

This reminds me of the day I advertized a mini-fridge on craigslist. and
actually I ended up selling it to a local collector, I got a responce from a
person and after about 5 emails back and forth, like yours, I realized I was
talking to a little kid. He finally admitted that his mom wouldn't drive him
the 30 miles to my house to pick it up. he wanted to meet me in golden gate
park in SF to do the fridge exchange... ha

told him to go get us 100 feet of Flight Line. And a bucket of Prop Wash:).He
went looking all over the place. And even asked an officer where he could
find Flight Line:)))),,

MARK started a controversy when he said... :

Dammit Mark...I was just doing what you told me to do!!! That's what I
got for following orders!!! LOL

Actually prop wash was harder to find than the flight line. :)

Here is a followup to the post you just read from last night...I received this
email from Michael this morning...

why the hell are you posting my conversation i had with you on google!!

and my response...

Why? Because it was insane...and I wanted to share the insanity I get emailed
to me daily with others...and if you read the posts from the people who posted
after me, you should have noticed they agree with me! Todd

Please remember...I only posted his first name and no email address---so
Michael is still unknown other than living in San Jose.

My first car was a '69 Dodge Charger that had been sitting for a while. My
boss (I worked at a garage) convinced me that I really needed to have a look
at the muffler bearings since it had been sitting for a while. It wasn't
until I called the local auto parts store looking for a muffler bearing
rebuild kit for a '69 charger that I realized the folly of my
search...*sniffle*
