I am about to take apart this joystick to try and get the main trigger
switch to work better.
Have any of you experience with this stick? I'd also appreciate any
general advice.
I'm assuming the switch inside is a leaf switch due to the stick's
age, is it possible to mod it with a microswitch to get a more
reliable switch function? I use this in Tron and Discs of Tron where
its really important to be able to fire rapidly and precisely.

I haven't taken one apart yet, but you might be surprised to find
microswitches in there already (they've been around a long time...
some games used them, but most didn't on account of cost). If not, as
long as you can physically fit one in there, there's no reason you
couldn't jerry-rig it up.

Try checking the manual for an exploded view of the stick... IIRC,
Mylstar/Gottlieb manuals are very detailed.

Good luck!
Rob
