My arctic thunder game has been on our route for a while with no problems. I bought the game used 1 1/2 years ago at auction, spent considerable time cleaning the game, new locks, some bulbs and coin mechs and it became super nice condition. About tow weeks ago the game "froze" during play I'm told, after reboot, the screen said. After checking the normal stuff, I ordered a new power supply from Happ. I put that in the game, it then booted up, and I tested the game and it seemed fine. 5 days later, the same result, game "froze" during play, and again says no signal on monitor. Surely that brand new power supply did not go bad that quick, what gives????

Please help

I had a similar problem a year ago. It turned out to be some blown
electrolytic capacitors on the computer motherboard. I replaced those
and the game has been playing perfectly fine ever since. The
motherboard in the one I fixed was soldered with normal solder so it
was easy to replace the bad capacitors.

hi Ken, trying to service an arctic thunder. the game is currently set to free play but the new customer wants it to accept tokens now. the issue is that I can't seem to get into test mode?? I have serviced games now for a long time and after pushing the test button a small menu appears with only 3 items. I can't seem to scroll through the 3 items and have to reboot the game to get out. all 4 service buttons work because in attract mode I can turn volume up, down and it makes a sound when adding a credit. I have been through the manual a dozen times but am still possibly missing something. the game does seem to play fine.

The one I worked on is long gone. It was owned by Premier Amusements of Richland Hills, Texas. They came and took it back from here in Washington state back to their headquarters in Texas. That was a couple of years ago they came and got it. I don't have any other Arctic Thunders to refer to. Sorry.
