Howdy,
One of the games I've been looking for to complete ( well complete it for
now :)) my collection is a Blaster in the wooden cab. Not the duramold. I
know most hate the game play and most op's killed them because it was the
most expensive game when it came out and it also was at the crash of the
video era so they spent money on them and they didn't bring any money in.
None the less it's one I'd like to get some day. If anyone has one for
sale or even has one drop me a e-mail if you would. Remove the no spam in my
e-mail address. I'd like to see some pictures if someone has one. Even if
you don't want to sell now take my e-mail down in case one day you do want
to sell. I've asked some local warehouse raiders to find me one and they
always come up blank. I know there must be some out there! E-mail me direct.
Thanks!

Jim

Games on my to get list:
* Timber UR (Bally/Midway) <<- Got 2 of them now! :)
* Blaster in the wooden cab. (Williams)
------------------------------------------------
Please remove the "NO SPAM" (if it's there)
in my E-mail address when you reply or I
will not get your E-mail. Thanks and sorry
for any inconvenience this may cause you!

You realize that these are *ultra* rare, right? I don't know the exact count,
but my guess is that there are about 5 known.

DJ -- what's your guess as to how many are out there?

When/if you do locate a seller, I'd plan on having 3 to 5 bills in your hand.

Yes I do realize that they are very rare. I'm looking for one for my
personal collection for over 4 years now and I've done plenty of research on
it.

There were 3 Blaster cockpits made. One is at Eugene's Jarvis fathers
home, the other was converted into another proto game (not sure the name)
and the 3rd was found by our own Mark Capps and now lives with him. So in
this hobby I have found nothing is impossible. Within 2 years I've got
almost all the games I ever wanted to collect. And extremely mint versions
of them all.

I'm just doing this post so when someone who maybe don't know about the
Blaster wooden runs across one they know who has cash waiting in hand.

I remeber playing one here in Santa Maria, CA. It was at the Gold Mine
arcade (now TILT) which is owned by the Nickels & dimes Corp.

The last one on ebay (3 or 4 years ago) fetched about $4K too. Good luck

I'm the guy that bought that one off ebay a couple years ago. I've never
seen another on ebay. It was $3,855. If you're still interested at that
price, talk to me.

While very rare, I don't think they're quite as rare as single digits
though. I can personally name 7 that I know/knew about, and 5 of those 7
were in one area (Chicago). Then again, Williams was in Chicago too. There
has got to be more around if I could find 5 in Chicago alone.

I think part of the problem is that not many people really like the game. I
think it's great, so I keep a lookout for them. But the game was an
operator flop, and a good many collectors don't like it either.

Screw the wooden Blaster. If you want a rare collectible that is also
fun to play, I say score one of these babies:

Everything else pales in comparison.
