Hi, my 1st post to this newsgroup ;)

Does anyone know if it is possible to fit a 3DO (FZ-1) with a PAL/NTSC
switch as with many other consoles of this era (e.g. Mega Drive, Super NES,
etc.)? I'm getting annoyed with having to play my US version of Super Street
Fighter 2 with that horrible big black border...

Thanks,
Mark.

I am afraid not Mark.

I tried to find the answer to this for many years including speaking to a
3DO designer and it is not possible.

I ended up buying a US 3do from ebay (the US site) & shipping it over.

I have an NTSC 3DO which came with 240Volt->110Volt adapter, but I opened
the machine and it says 250Volt on the inside, does that mean it has a
universal power supply and the adapter is not needed?

It is an FZ-10.

regards, Julian

Youre in Oz right, which is 240V. The 3DO is NTSC (USA) and is 110V. The
step down converter is in the package for a reason. Dont plug the 3DO
straight into the 240v mains, you WILL blow it up. USE the convertor.
