Game in Wigan also has DeathKeep (which I bought), Doom & Dragon Lore.
Software Plus has none of the above, but does have Foes of Ali (I was
going to buy that too, but when I returned with some money, they'd
sold the only copy :( ).

Foes of Ali is letterboxed and DeathKeep has big borders round the edge.
(First time I've really noticed it. I think you guys have sensitised me.)
I haven't looked closely at the packaging of DeathKeep, but it's in a
tall cardboard box, so it may be a straight import.

I've finished level 1 on easy as the Dwarf Fighter. Sort of like the
ice world in Ultima Underworld 2.
Overall, it's very good, but I don't like the control for looking up
and down (B+LS and B+RS) - I prefered the Slayer control for that
(SHIFT+UP or SHIFT+DOWN).
Like Slayer, it's not really an RPG - the only way of interacting with
a Non-Player Character is to kill it. The main improvement over Slayer
is in the sofistication of the levels.
