Since it looks like the serial numbers were created serially as they
should be, you can get some idea based on collecting some serial
numbers and seeing how high each "group" goes. I have a list from long
ago that will get you started. The "groups" are based on region, i.e.
USA, Canada, Europe, etc..

Notice the 1,2,3 beginning #'s for the MB EUROPEAN units. It looks like
there may have been 5 different starting #'s 0000000, 1000000, 2000000,
3000000, & 4000000.

Anyone have serials from the Japanese Vectre-i (I forgot how we were
doing the plural Vectrex word - yes that has been debated as well ;) )?

Did you look at the bottom of the unit?

Mine has a second sticker with the serial number there. So the sticker
on the back is not the only one on the case.

I recently picked up a Vec on a fleemarket here in Sweden. It is sold
in Sweden, the label on the back reads (GCE Model HP-3000) and serial#
01045 (just 5 digits)

My Japanese unit has serial# 300-580

Hy everybody!

I'm Chris and i had a Vec for my 35th birthday!
It's the vectrex of my best friend and we had play with it since 1983...

The top screen mark is MB but controller mark is GCE vectrex on the pad buttons
and on rear top serial is only five digits 00630 early serial?
