As far as I knew, the only known Spectrum I+ Stress Tester Unit is
owned by Bruce Tomlin and pictured here:
http://vgdb.vectrex.com/vgdb/stresstester.html

However, I now received an email from someone who had apparently
thought I own that unit. This is what they wrote:

"The company that I represent owns a Spectrum I. It had been
frequently used in the past to help promote sales. Your Spectrum unit
was googled and confirms with our records of the President Roy Abell &
Associates, Inc. I am trying to find Mr. Abell or if his Spectrum I
unit is currently in use. We are looking for an electronic interface
or permission to use the Color Analysis as a link on an ad promotion
or on our website. Thank you for your time and effort on this matter
in advance, I really appreciate it."

Or do they think it belongs to Mr.Abell? What are they actually
asking, heh... What should I answer?

Anyways, this confirms there's at least two of those units around!

Hello Manu,
I'm always curious about things (especially Vectrex related stuff) so
I put in the name Robert Abel & Associates into google and got the
following page: http://design.osu.edu/carlson/history/tree/abel.html .
Although no mention about the Stress Tester, its really interesting to
see that the company was into special effects for films, such as Tron,
as well as vector animations. The website also states that Bob Abel
passed away in 2001.
Regarding your contact's request for permission to use the colour
analysis thats a bit strange, because the technique is based on the
Luscher color test and there seem to be a few websites out there
offering the same functionality as the Spectrum Stress tester, and
there are books/webs available describing the technique (theres a
manual version at http://www.viewzone.com/luscher2.html ). Or is it
simpy that they want to copy the layout of the input device used in
the Stress tester?
