So that was my answer as well. Except that I translated Johnson to
an Indian context.

Oh, you weren't talking about Canadian politicians! :-)

I would have done something like that too, but I failed to come up with
anything plausibly Indian-sounding, and didn't think of going with Singh.

Sunil Gavaskar
No-one got this, though Pete did suggest Sachin Tendulkar who is the current record holder with 51 (and unlikely to ever be surpassed given the declining popularity of Test cricket in favour of the Twenty20 format).

I answered "Celebes", but I got a point.

They're omnivores, not carnivores. My answer was "tiger", which might be correct.

And for those who did see/recall my entry and are less acquainted with
the country than Calvin who lives in the neighbourhood, that is Papua
New Guinea.

And the only reason I knew it is that Peter O'Neill was in a question
from the Toronto quiz league at the time he was still the Prime Minister. I
seem to recall that at that occasion my guess went for Guyana.

Noted thanks.

So it seems, polar bears aside. There is sufficient ambiguity as to what constitutes a carnivore (as opposed to an omnivore) and as to what precisely largest means for me to rule this questions out of order. Everyone gets a point.
