My apologies if I set the bar a tad high on this. I'll do better next
time (if there is a next time).

> 1. Which German mathematician & astronomer was born in 1777?
Karl Gauss. 1 for Erland, Mark and Marc.
>

David Fincher. 1 for Mark and Marc.

Privately printed in 1926.
Published in 1935. 1 to Erland and 0.5 to Rob

Patti Smith. I thought this was one of the easier ones.
>
> 5.Of the seven Greek Muses which is the muse of comedy?
Thalia. 1 to Rob. In mitigation I was taking the three poetry muses as
a single entity :)
>
> 6. Which heavy metal band recorded the album "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son"?
Iron Maiden. 1 to Peter and Rob
>
> 7. What was the nickname of the hair obsessed parking valet in "77

Kookie. 1 to Rob. I never missed that show.
>
> 8. Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Envy, Pride. What's missing?
Wrath (will accept Anger). 1 to Erland, Mark, Peter, Calvin and Rob.
Nose picking should surely become the eighth sin.

The Rape of the Sabine Women. Tough one I know but Howard Keel would
have been too easy.
So, I make it Rob Parker the winner with 4.5. Over to you Rob

I don't like the place at all. It's all wrong. An imposition on the
Landscape. I reckon that Stonehenge was build by the contemporary
equivalent of Microsoft, whereas Avebury was definitely an Apple circle.

Sorry, forgot to change the subject on my previous post.

I once absent-mindedly ordered Three Mile Island dressing in a
restaurant and, with great presence of mind, they brought Thousand
Island Dressing and a bottle of chili sauce.
