These questions were written to be asked in Toronto on 2018-01-22,
and should be interpreted accordingly.

On each question you may give up to two answers, but if you give
both a right answer and a wrong answer, there is a small penalty.
Please post all your answers to the newsgroup in a single followup,
based only on your own knowledge. (In your answer posting, quote
the questions and place your answer below each one.) I will reveal
the correct answers in about 3 days.

All questions were written by members of Bill Psychs and are
used here by permission, but have been reformatted and may have
been retyped and/or edited by me. For further information see
my 2017-09-25 companion posting on "Questions from the Canadian
Inquisition (QFTCI*)".

* Game 2, Round 7 - Entertainment - TV is Good Medicine

In life and in death, hospitals and other medical facilities have
been a stable TV-show setting for many years. We give you three
characters (as listed at imdb.com) and you name the show.

1. Dr. Bob Kelso, Dr. Elliot Reid, Nurse Carla Espinosa.

2. Zoey Barkow, Gloria Akalitus, Kevin Peyton.

3. Sonny Corinthos, Elizabeth Webber, Dr. Patrick Drake.

4. Dr. Wayne Fiscus, Dr. Mark Craig, Dr. Philip Chandler.

5. Jack Hodgins, Camille Saroyan, Lance Sweets.

6. Sam Fujiyama, Sgt. Brill, Dr. Robert Asten.

7. Nurse Curly Spaulding, Vinnie Delpino, Dr. Benjamin Canfield.

8. Luka Kovac, Kerry Weaver, Mark Greene.

9. Dr. Kathryn Austin, Dr. Jeffrey Geiger, Dr. Aaron Shutt.

10. Dr. Lisa Cuddy, Dr. Robert Chase, Dr. James Wilson.

* Game 2, Round 8 - Miscellaneous - US Aircraft Nicknames

Military aircraft in the US are commonly given names or nicknames in
addition to an alphanumeric designation. For example, as everyone
who saw "Top Gun" knows, the F-14 is the Tomcat. For each of
the following aircraft, mostly fighters, please give that name or
nickname. Note: pay attention to the wording, as some questions
contain hints.

1. The F-22 stealth fighter has a name straight out of the Jurassic.

2. The F-18 is a mainstay of the Canadian air force. It is due
to be replaced soon, but plans to buy the new "super" version
were cancelled because of trade disputes.

3. Designated the P-51, this "workhorse" of a fighter helped turn
the tide in World War II.

4. Designated the P-38, this World War II fighter had a "shockingly"
distinctive twin-engine, twin-boom design.

5. the F-8 single-engine fighter was the last to have guns as the
primary weapon. It saw action in the Vietnam War and its name
relates to the Knights Templar.

6. The SR-71 reconnaissance aircraft was the world's fastest
aircraft until it was retired in 1998.

7. The F-15 air-superiority fighter has a distinctively American
name.

8. Designated the F-4, this "ghostly" interceptor and fighter-bomber
saw action in the Vietnam war.

9. The F-35 stealth multi-role fighter is part of the most expensive
military weapons system program in history.

10. Designated the F-16, this fighter with an avian name has served
in the air forces of 26 nations.
