I'm playing a red deck, and my opponent keeps playing white enchantments
that let him pick a color and give the creature protection from a color of
his choice. (things like flickering ward)

I need something like a red disenchant, but I'm not sure if such a thing
exists. Can anyone suggest a couple of cards I could add to my deck that
might help counteract these protection enchantments he is using?

Once he gets a couple of them on his creatures, the game is effectively
over, because he can block me without taking damage himself, and directly
bypass my blockers.

Thanks!

Red really can't do very much of anything against enchantments.

There are a few tricks you can go for, including:

Getting around both targeting and damage problems by neither targeting
nor damaging:

Flowstone Slide {X}{2}{R}{R} Sorcery
/ All creatures get +X/-X until end of turn.

Getting around the protection from red:

Ghostfire {2}{R} Instant
/ Ghostfire is colorless.
/ Ghostfire deals 3 damage to target creature or player.

Getting around the part of protection from red that prevents damage from
a red source (e.g. from an Earthquake, or from your attacking creatures):

Everlasting Torment {2}{B/R} Enchantment
/ Players can't gain life.
/ Damage can't be prevented.
/ All damage is dealt as though its source had wither.

Unstable Footing {R} Instant
/ Kicker {3}{R}
/ Damage can't be prevented this turn. If Unstable Footing was kicked,
it deals 5 damage to target player.

Or, you know, just have a load of creatures with protection from white
and see how the opponent likes it...

Yep; it's a specifically-inbuilt weakness for the color. About the closest
you might get is "destroy target permanent" or "destroy all permanents" or
the like.

Capricious Efreet seems to be about the ONLY pure-red card that can actually
destroy white enchantment permanents.

If the enchantments are boosting his creatures, red takes care of that by
violently blowing up the creatures. Repeatedly. Until it runs into protection
from red, of course.

Other things you could do, of course, include:
splash white in your deck for Disenchants, or green for Tranquility or
Naturalize or Calming Verse etc.
find some _artifact_ that can zap enchantments, and add a few of them
find a way to animate the enchantments, and damage them to death
splash blue in your deck to counter the enchantment spells or bounce the
enchantments
kill your opponent before the enchantments mount up enough to be trouble

Engineered Explosives (so long as you're not mono red), Oblivion Stone,
Nev's Disk, Capricious Efreet, Mycosynth Lattice, Reaper King (!),
Apocalypse, Word of Seizing, Wordslayer, Anarchy, Plague Boiler, Distorting
Lens.

All these would deal with what he's using. You may particularly want to look
at Anarchy.. that would most likely put a bee in his bonnet! Seems to go
pretty cheap too.

Anarchy - 2RR - Sorcery -
Destroy all white permanents.
