No because cards in graveyard are just cards not legends...

Because WotC uses a slightly confusing shorthand terminology on these
sorts of cards. When a card refers to "creatures" in the graveyard,
it means "Summon or artifact creature *cards* in the graveyard."
A similar shorthand is used to refer to "Enchantments" and
"Artifacts" in the graveyard.

This is probably a stupid question but, is there any thing in the rules about the
order of stuff in your graveyard? I mean if a nether shadow dies, can't you just
move it to the bottom, in which case it will probably be under 3 creatures?

Acutally, although I know this is the correct ruling, I just had a wierd brain
fart about this. If cards in the graveyard are just their consituent (sp?)
cards, i.e. a summon spell is just that, a summon spell, not a creature, then
how do cards like Nether Shadow or Ashen Ghoul work? 4E Nether Shadow reads:
...if Shadow is in your graveyard with at least three creature cards above it,
you may return it to play....
So if there are no creatures in the graveyard, how does this work, or even on
a more simple level, how does Animate Dead or Dance of the Dead work?

Hi,
I'am new to the game of magic and have been playing for about a couple of
months. During that time I have acquired some Italian Magic cards (not
enough cash to buy the English version). I recently had an idea to creat a
creatureless deck and a friend of mine suggested that I should build a deck
with Abyss,Moat,Demonic Tutor,Underworld dream and The Tabernacle at the
Pend.,Hymns, and Terror. He suggested that I add some
Fireball,Bolts,PowerSurge,Plows,Solring,Mills,Mishras,and Disenchants. I
can see a potential for the deck but I don't see how I can first keep off
those big flying creatures from destroying me. One solution might be to use
Icy and the Maze of Ith but even if successful at it, How am I going to
finish my opponets off before he disenchants all of my enchantments. Any
suggestions is welcome. If There has been a post in regard to this, please
pardon my post and hope you will forgive for being a newbie.
Thanks.

My brother has made some very powerful artifact creatureless decks that
have wasted me. The things that hurt me the most out of these were the
.... as u mentioned the maze of ith, and one u didnt but hurt the most
was 4 rocket launchers.... he had a bunch of special storage lands that
he used to when he needed a big pile of mana.

That is the key to defending against one of these decks is hit there
mana. I beat him when i knew he was going to play this decks and i
loaded it with dust to dust and diving offerings.... bunch of copa
helped too.

As far as offense goes.... get rid of anything that doesnt add mana or
do direct damage. Millstone, etc.... get rid of it. Add some spirit
links to shut off the flyers and the ith...

good luck and have fun.....

Because those cards specifically target a card or cards in your
graveyard.....the cards in your graveyard are technically in play but can
only be targeted by spells that actually say graveyard on them.....
