I just build my lastest deck around Yavamya's Fire and Saproling Burst. The
prospect of two 5/5 for 5 mana is awesome to me. In fact I have yet to
loose with it except agianst a non-type II Living death deck (even though I
still one most of the games we played). The only problem I have is that I
am afriad it is not nearly fast enough to play in a Tornement I want to go
to. I have never seen a deck like mine yet, then agian I don't look on the
net that much for my deck ideas. So give me a hand if you can. Highley
appciated.

2 Troll Horn Cameo
2 Tiger-eye Cameo
2 Moss Diamond
6 Forest
4 Mountians
2 Plains
4 Shivan Oasis
3 Elfhame Palace
2 Rath's Edge

3 Sterling Grove ( to get Saproling or fire if needed)
4 Armadilo Cloak ( don't laugh...it works)
1 Hunting Kavu (just need to take up space)
4 Blastederm (with haste they can do the full 20 needed)
3 Yavamya Fire ( awsome, love these things)
1 Fervor ( since I only have 3 yavamya fires I had to sub)
2 Serpintine Kavu (I want to replace these with Kavu Titian)
4 Saproling Burst ( Heart of the deck, wait till they attack then play.
OUCH)
1 Aura Shards (got to love these, expeciliay when you are using lots of
tokens)
1 Kavu Titian ( I only hav one but you get the idea)
1 Halum Dajinn (great, since red is not my lead color)
2 Rhystic Lighting (Just wanted to throw in a little burn)
2 Seal of Fire (pop when you play Burst to get them though)
1 Vitilizing Wind (mana heavy but when you have two burst out...you win)
2 Utopia Tree (simple mana acceleration)
1 Rith, The Awakener (he is just evil when he has haste)

So what are some of your thoughts. My sideboard is till in the making but I
plane to us the mutation cards

Zvi Mowshowitz has just done an extensive four-part dissect of his Fires
deck at www.wizards.com/sideboard; you should be able to find everything
you need there.

As it stands, your deck lacks focus and your mana acceleration is too
slow. You can't drop Fires on turn 2, and this is BAD.

Briefly, as Dave said, the plan is:

turn 1 bird or elf,
turn 2 Fires
turn 3 Blasty
turn 4 Burst

to do this you must have

4 Birds
4 Elves
4 Fires
4 Blasties
4 Kaplusian Forests (red and green mana source that does not
come into play tapped).

in your deck. The rest is variable within reason,
but you should avoid stuff that comes into play tapped. The object
is extremely fast beats.

Other popular creatures are:

Jade Leech
Ancient Hydra
Balduvian Horde
Chimeric Idol
Rith
Two-Headed Dragon
Kavu Titan
the uncounterable 4/4 Kavu

obviously you cant run 4 of each, but each has advantages and
disadvantages. Find what you have and which ones suit you.

Total land count is roughly 22 I think and many decks splash White as
well (use Brushlands and maybe Cities of Brass).

Hydra, Leech, Idol are maindeck for most, maybe the dragons, I always side mine
out though...usually for the Kavu that can't be countered.

River Boas help in mirror match, keeps fatties away...unless he's got a hydra
:(

PS...land count is higher 4 Port, 2 Dust Bowl, 4 Karp. Forests and 14-16 basics
