Well I can't tell you too much about PT2 except that Hammer won. We
first played through a round of 256 players until we had a final 64.
Then the 64 played until there were 8. I Managed to make it to the
final 64 and would have made final 8 had I not made the dumbist mistake I
have ever made in all of my tournament experience. We were required to
write down the decks that we drafted after we constructed them. Some
how I failed to record a disintigrate I had in my deck. Because of that
I was given a forfiture on one of my games. My deck had only two
mountains for the one red card (Disintigrate) and I tried to explain to
the judges that I did not put them in the deck for my health. Regardless
I had made the mistake that would cost me my placement in the final 8.
I ended up as ranking 14th I think. This one will take a long time to
get over. I won $2000 for being in the top 16 but would have won at
least $3,500 had I writen down the word disintigrate. All in all it just
plain sucked. I can't blame the Judges at all rules are rules.
Later the next day I had my back pack stolen with my plain
ticket and all of my type II stuff. Then the next day my alarm did not
wake me and I missed my plane home. I atribute all of these stupid
mistakes to the fact that I did not get much sleep the whole time I was
there. When I go to clombus I will get my own room and I will go to bed
each night at a reasonable hour. Soooooooooo close. Oh well.

George,

I was there... I saw you looking around for your backpack... I felt for
you... Didn't say anything, because what can be said in a situation like
that. I, too, have been a theft victim... "I did park my car right
here... didn't I???" Anyway, sorry to hear you had that many things
stack up against you this time... The way I see it... you had you full
dose of bad luck this time... Heck, maybe Columbus will be you day in the
sun... Unless I qualify, of course ;)

Wow, what a weekend. I remember on Thursday night I was looking for my
box that I was missing. You happened to pick it up for me and gave it
back. Then you told me what it was like when you had all your cards
stolen before. Sorry to hear that it happened again. As for my
performance at PT2. I did the best I could, however my 5-1 record was
only good enough for 17th place. Even though I had more match wins than
people in the top 8, they all had more game wins. Swiss style sucks- oh
well.
