Hello NG

Name: Quicksilver Dagger
Set: Apocalypse
Type - Class: Enchant Creature
Casting Cost: 1RB
Power / Toughness: N/A / N/A
Card Text: Enchanted creature has "T: This creature deals 1 damage to
target player. You draw a card."

I wondered if an enchant creature card is an enchantment ? I mean logically
of course, but how exactly does it have to be formulated in Magic. So for
example, can i destroy "Quicksilver Dagger" with a spell that says "Destroy
target Enchantment or Artifact" ?

Thx for your patience

Yes, a card with the type "Enchant [thing]" is an enchantment.
"Enchant creature" is a subtype of the enchantment type.

Absolutely. There are two types of enchantments. One type is a global
enchantment and reads "Enchantment". The other type is a local enchantment
which effects another permanent type and reads "Enchant [Permanent Type]".
Both types, however are legitimate enchantments and can be targeted as
enchantments and will be affected by any effect that affects enchantments.

Yes, you can. There are 2 types of enchantments, local and global. Local
enchantments are divided in sub-types, enchant creature, land, artifact,
etc. They are all perfectly good enchantments, and can all be targetted with
a Disenchant.

Yes. Any card that says "Enchantment" or "Enchant <something>" under the
picture is an enchantment.

Yes; it's an enchantment. More specifically, it's a local enchantment (it
sits on another permanent, rather than by itself in play); more specifically
still, it is an Enchant Creature.
