Got a question about Still Life, a card from Odyssey.
If you tap two forests this enchantment becomes a 4/3 Centaur creature,
which is still an enchantment. When the centaur creature is dealt lethal
damage, it's dead, but is the enchantment also gone?

Thanx in advance, M@rk

Nitpick: You have to pay two green mana (usually abbreviated as GG). If
that mana comes from tapping Forests for mana, or from LLanowar Elves,
or from Vine Trellis, or from Mox Emerald, or from several possible
sources is not important.

There are not one enchantment and one creature that are somehow
separate, there is one object (the Still Life permanent) that is both.
So if that Still Life permanant is destroyed due to lethal damage, the
Still Life is destroyed, which is both the enchantment and the creature.
Similarly, if the Still Life is Disenchanted then it is gone, there
isn't some mysterious creature part that survives.

Still Life
1GG
Enchantment
GG: Still Life becomes a 4/3 creature until end of turn.

You can't destroy one and not the other. They are a single permanent, but
what that happens to be an enchantment and a creature. So, Still Life goes
to the graveyard if it is in creature form and receives lethal damage.

you have questions we have answers (TM)

>If you tap two forests this enchantment becomes a 4/3 Centaur creature,

Nitpick-you may activate the ability by paying GG, it doesnt just happen when
you tap 3 forests.

>damage, it's dead, but is the enchantment also gone?

yes, Even though it says it's still an enchantment, something is destroying it
(in this case lethal damage).

The enchantment IS the creature, so if the creature dies, so does the
enchantment.
BTW: You don't necessarily tap two forests, you remove two green mana
from your mana pool. Forests add green, true... but with Wild Growth you
only need 1 forest, you can use Karplusan Forest for the mana etc.

Er, no. If you activate its ability -and pay two green mana-, this effect
happens. Tapping Forests isn't referenced anywhere; you -can- get the green
mana from Forest abilities, but that's not necessary.

Er, yes. It's an enchantment creature; it does not say "GG: Put a 4/3
green Centaur creature token into play named 'Still Life'". The permanent
-becomes- the creature; it's still an enchantment +also+, so now has two
permanent types. If the -permanent- gets destroyed, it's gone; there's not
a "separate creature and enchantment sitting side by side" there, there's
one permanent that's an enchantment creature.
