A pretty straightforward question here:

Living Lands enchantment is in play, turning all Forests into 1/1 creatures.
Are they also considered Land, or no longer? Specifically, would any
Land Enchantments fall off of them? (Or would they stay on but be noneffective)?

Also, what happens if a Winter Orb comes into play? Can the Forests still
untap as normal or do they still get "winterized"?

Our decision at the time was to say that they are no longer Land, so their
Enchant Lands go to the graveyard (since they no longer have a valid target)
and that they would not be affected by the Winter Orb. We based this on the
fact that there do exist cards which *specify* when something is both a
land and a creature (e.g. Thelonite Druid, Mishra's Factory etc), and that
lacking such a specification would presumably make it solely a creature.

Agree?

They are still lands, since a) none of the methods of animating them says
they stop being lands and b) things can be lands and creatures at the same
time (Mishra's Factory, for instance). Enchant Land cards would stay on,
they are still considered Lands, and they are still affected by Winter Orb.
If Winter Orb and Smoke are both in play, untapping one land creature counts
towards the one for Winter Orb *and* the one for Smoke.
