606.9. Damage, loss of life, and gaining life happen to each player
individually. The result is applied to the team's shared life total.
Example: In a Two-Headed Giant game, a player plays Flame Rift, which
reads, "Flame Rift deals 4 damage to each player." Each team is dealt a
total of 8 damage.

Yes, as far as I know each head has life losses counted against it
individually, it's only the effect of the life loss on the life total
that's different:
606.9. Damage, loss of life, and gaining life happen to each player
individually. The result is applied to the team's shared life total.
It gets a bit complicated if something sets a life-total to a
particular number, but apart from that it's pretty straightforward.
