Wrath of God buries all creatures and you cannot regenerate a creature
from a burial. The Disk OTOH, destroys the creatures and you may
regenerate them.

Jokulhaups buries and I don't have the wording of Devastation handy.
Basically just check to see if the effect buries or destroys. If it
buries, regeneration is not possible. If it destroys, and if the wording
does not prohibit regeneration, then you may regenerate.

It all depends upon the wording of the card. Wrath of God says
"Bury all creatures" and the rules say that you cannot regenerate
a creature from a "bury" effect. However, you may regenerate
a creature from a "destroy" effect (unless the card says otherwise)
and so you may regenerate a creature such as Drudge Skeletons
(if you have one black mana to pay) after a Nevinyrral's Disk is
activated.

Typically, if the card says Bury (or Destroy and cannot be Regenerated),
you cannot regenerate the creature. If it only mentions being Destroyed,
then you can regenerate.

Don't do this, please. Usenet is not an HTML resource.

No, and yes. Wrath of God buries all creatures; buried creatures aren't
allowed to regenerate. The Disk destroys creatures; destroyed creatures
may regenerate.

The ones that bury creatures, or that say "Those creatures cannot
regenerate", mean they won't regenerate. The ones that destroy creatures
and don't say "Those creatures cannot regenerate" let the creatures
regenerate.

No. Wrath of God buries creatures, and you can regenerate from a burial.

> How about a Nevinyrral's Disk?

Yes. The disk destroys the creatures, and regeneration from a destroy
can be done just fine.

Jokulhaups buries creatures, so the answer is no.
Devastation says destroy so that would be a yes. But I don't know if
there are any bury cards in portal (i think not) or any regeneration (i
am prettty sure there isn't).

No. Wrath of God reads "_Bury_ all creatures", which disallows
regeneration.

>How about a Nevinyrral's Disk?

The artifact just _destroys_ permanents (except lands), so in this
case you may regenerate your creatures.

If it says "bury" (or the newer "creatures destroyed this way cannot
be regenerated"), you can't regenerate your creatures. If it just says
"destroy", regeneration is allowed.
