Just bought my first pack of 5th today, here's how it went:

Orcish Conscripts (woohoo)
Phantasmal Terrain (new picture, a lot better than the old one)
COP: Blue (ditto)
Bog Rats
Brothers of Fire
Barbed Sextant
Necrite
Scryb Sprites
Updraft (useless card anyway, why new art?)
Dwarven Soldier
Pearled Unicorn (much better picture again)
Abyssal Specter (a new, very interesting picture)
Pyroblast
Wolverine Pack (cool picture)
City of Brass (new picture again)

Is C.O.B. uncommon in 5th? Or did they just put the rare at the back. Hmm
. interesting.

Looks like the rare was the last card. Abyssal specter, pyroblast, and
wolverine pack are the uncommons.

My first two packs have as the last cards Shivan Dragon, and Ball
Lightning. So i think the rare is last this time.

I've only bought one pack of 5E (had a weak moment in Meijer's with
the checkbook in hand) and I seen to remember reading on the pack
something to the effect that the order of the rarity in the pack was
random or something. Especially since a friend of mine told me he had
several packs with the rare as the first card. Can't imagine the City
of Brass would ever be an uncommon.

Yes. I'm pretty sure that the distribution of the rare in the pack
is random. The 4 packs of 5E I bought have the rares in 3 different
locations.

If you have any questions about rarity of cards, Wizards of the Coast has a
homepage at:

http://www.wizards.com/

And they have official cardlists at:

http://www.wizards.com/Cardlists/Welcome.html#Fifth

According to this, City of Brass is Rare1.
