"Counts as..." works regardless of what zone the card is in, as it's not
considered a characteristic of the card, but just an additional explanation.
Hence, Humility would not stop an animated Underground Sea from counting as
a Swamp.

If you mean a Bayou, then yes. If you mean some other type of dual that
can produce both black and green, no.

Sure it does.

No.

The Bayou's "Bayou is a Forest and a Swamp." works anywhere, as per:
402.3. Text on a card stating that the card "is" or "counts as" a
particular type or color isn't an ability. Such statements apply no matter
what zone the card is in and aren't removed by effects that cause a
permanent to lose its abilities.

my friend (also expirienced player) says B/G dual land can be put into
play with land grant. the reason he gave me was: it counts as a forest.
at that time i didn't gave it too much attention, but later at home, i
thought about it and came up with this:
the dual land is while in library a NONBASIC LAND CARD, right?
it DOESN'T count as forest while in library. his ability (counts as
forest) only works while it's in play, right? as well as the blastoderm's
"i can't be target of spells of abbilites" works ONLY while in play.
i would appreciate if this could be cleared up.

oh.
thx for input.
'kay. Then you're ahead of most of us here...

The _Bayou_ can. (The _Invasion_ dual lands can't; they don't say they
are, or count as, <basic land type>.)
>at that time i didn't gave it too much attention, but later at home, i
>thought about it and came up with this:

Yes. It's not a -basic- forest. But it still is one.
>it DOESN'T count as forest while in library. his ability (counts as
>forest) only works while it's in play, right? as well as the blastoderm's
>"i can't be target of spells of abbilites" works ONLY while in play.
Actually, you've come across The Exception - text that says "This is /
counts as <type/color>" is -not- an ability, and works wherever the card
happens to be. So the old dual lands -do- have two basic land types (though
they're not basic land cards) in your hand or library... and a Kobold is
red in your graveyard, rather than colorless.
>i would appreciate if this could be cleared up.
I hope this did so... see 402.3 in the Rulebook, also.
