Trample is a creature ability that enables attacking creatures to
(under certain circumstances) deal combat damage to your opponent even
though they were blocked.

Let's look at an example: You're attacking with a 8/8 creature, your
opponent is blocking with four 2/1 creatures. You get to distribute 8
combat damage among the four blockers, easily killing all of them.
(You could also assign all 8 damage to only one blocker, keeping three
of them alive if you want.)
So far, so good. If your creature had had trample, you would have had
yet another option. After assigning lethal damage to _all_ blockers
(not taking into account _any_ damage prevention effects that could
happen later), you may assign any remaining combat damage to the
defending player as well.
In the above example, if the attacking creature had trample and you
assigned 1 damage to each of the blockers you would have been free to
assign any amount of the remaining 4 damage to the defending player
instead of to one or more of the blockers. (You could still assign
more damage to the blockers and less to the defending player if you
want, but you can't get more than 4 trample damage through.)

Ok. Suppose you have a 6/4 Trampling Yavimaya Wurm, along with a 6/4
Non-Trampling Craw Wurm.

Trample is an ability that has an effect when the Yav.Wurm is blocked.
Instead of being forced to deal its damage to the creature blocking it, it
is allowed to deal just enough to kill that creature... and deal the rest to
the player.

So, for example. You attack with the Craw Wurm. It is blocked by a 1/1,
which dies... but the Wurm deals no damage to the player.

On the other hand: You attack with the Yav. Wurm. It is blocked by a 1/1,
which dies- and the other 5 of the 6 points of damage will 'trample over' to
the defending player- taking him from 20 to 15.

That's the power of Trample. It means that blocking your creatures is less
effective.

trample is a combat ability that lets you sent damage that is above a
critts power to the player

example if you have a 8/8 trample critt. and it's blockt by a 2/1 then
you must send a min. of one to the blocker and the rest can be send to
the defender

so you use trampe only during your attack phase and you send damage
above the critt. power not send to the critt. to the player
