Does seem a little strange, doesn't it?

I guess we can kind of rationalize it as: "Well, they're older and more
powerful, so typical dragon-targetting spells are just shrugged off."
But that just seems a little weak.

But, oh well. Que sera sera.

It's worth noting that this isn't because of the errata to them (it
isn't because they're now "Summon Legend" and not "Summon Elder Dragon Legend",
in other words); the elder dragon legends never did count as dragons--it's
just that, under the old wording, they wouldn't have counted as legends
either. (Something looking for "dragons" will find "Summon Dragon" and
"Summon Dragons" cards, and "counts as a dragon" cards; it won't find
"Summon Dragon King" or "Summon Baby Dragon" or any other variation.)
Presumably, the fact that the elder dragons don't count as dragons is
intentional on WotC's part; after all, when they errata'ed the elder dragons,
they could just as easily have added "counts as a dragon" to the text while
they were at it.

No. Elder Dragon Legends are now simply "Summon Legend" cards and they
are not considered "Dragons" for any reason. :-(

I heard that the Elder Dragons are now "Summon Legends."

Is there an edition like, "Eldar Dragons count as a dragon." For example,
from the Mirage Tika's Dragon?

No, there is not. They're just legends, and that's it. Sorry.

Yes. They have been for a rather long time.

No.

Mirage has no Elder Dragons. The Elder Dragons were from Legends, and also
appeared as reprints in Chronicles; all five of them are Summon Legend
cards, by Errata. No other cards have even suggested anywhere on themselves
that they were "Elder Dragons".
