19 players attended this last event of the year, traditionally organized and
judged by meh, and it was also the last opportunity to play PTO/EE/MoM
before the 2008 ban (no one brought EE, though, and it seems only 1 player
had MoM, 3 or 4 had PTO - none of those entered the finals).

There was a good mood in this tournament. I had to speed up players a bit
because the shop told me in the morning they'd had to close earlier than
usual, so we started round 1 at 11:00 and everyone was out at 19:45 or so,
all rounds but the final went to time limit. Thanks to the players for being
understanding. A special prize was supposed to be awarded to whoever played
successfully the most Daemonic Possession, but only 1 player brought a
dedicated deck with DP and didn't manage to make a single DP action.

Final :
seating was Patrice (setite with Narkthorheb wazzit as star) -> Orian
(Khazar's Diary and War Ghouls) -> Christophe (Nadima toolbox with
Temptation) -> Jérome (Ravnos Mass Carnival) -> Antonio (Shemti temptation
and bleed)
Orian and Jerome started developing like crazy, with 8 minions each with the
first 15mn ; Christophe had to fetch Nadima (with built-in intercept) as the
5th vamp in crypt, while Patrice, probably due to a 2h night's sleep,
mistakenly influenced 7 pool on a 3-cap vamp instead of Nakthroheb, which
terribly slowed him down and wasted his game. Antonio got Bupe Kuila
(built-in intercept) but got her Pentex'ed by Jerome. Jerome had Parthenon
and tried to cycle like crazy in order to put into play Last Stand and Week
of Nightmares in the same turn, but "only" managed to have Week hit the
table. He eventually ousted Antonio after 1h or so but got bruised in the
process, for example by Antonio's Touch of Pain and some Ravnos fooling
around by other peeps Tempting them.
In the meantime, Orian had built up his strength, protected by 2 War Ghouls
and an absent predator, of course. He kept wearing Christophe down, who
resisted to the WG with Earth Melds.
A bit later after IIRC, Orian got the 7th counter on Khazar's Diary and
began building an undead army of Wraith. Patrice fell after 1h15mn or
something but Jerome's minions were too low on blood. Then Christophe was
ousted. Jerome was outnumbered, had but 5 or so Ravnos with blood and there
were more than 30mn remaining, while Orian had 16+ minions, so he conceded
with my benevolent agreement. Overall a nice final, in that there wasn't any
tedious, lengthy table-talk, people doing their actions properly in a timely
manner, and no one taking people for fools (well, Orian did try to make
someone diablerize a Ravnos with a Tempted Ravnos, but Antonio alerted the
table it would trigger the final counter on the Khazar's Diary).
Congratulations to Orian, who won with an original deck! He chooses his
prize : a "Oui, seigneur des tenebres" non-collectible card game, translated
from an Italian game it seems, with mechanics a bit similar to "Once Upon a
Time".
Every player got a LotN booster, finalists got 1/2/3/5 additional boosters.
Thanks to the players for a nice tournament and to the Troll2Jeux shop
(www.troll2jeux.com) for their hospitality, as usual - we wouldn't have so
many tournaments without them.

The shop cannot host the event on 26th january (reminds me, I had forgotten
"january" altogether..oh well)
the Paris Cup will be held on ***saturday, february 2nd*** at the shop
Troll2Jeux (see link in previous post) for sure.
The event will be an EC miniqualifier as well. Relevant information at :

it's in french, but the post includes an e-mail adress, so any peeps
