Hey Salem,
there are free news feeds all over the place. Do a search on google for
"free news server" and so forth.
I personally use groups.google.com to read news feeds.

Free good news servers that carry r.g.t-c.jyhad are few and
far between. If anyone knows of any, I'd be interested, too.
If anyone's google search (above) turned up a useful lead,
please post the URL (and, if you care to, the search criteria
used -- I'd like to know).

"news server" +free
chose the second link ...
and then selected servers added 2005-02-16
Amongst these I selected the first one with posting allowed
And my news reader automatically picked it up and downloaded the
groups. I found rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad and read the latest post
in the tenebrous form thread.
Thanks for that.
When I had been looking for replacements to news.individual.net
back when they changed their server and it no longer worked with
my netscape set-up, such searches were fruitless.
No problems ... you answer my questions about VTES ... I answer those
about free news servers :)

You should buck up and pay the 10 euro per year.
If DejaNews had offered a chance to keep them in business and online
as a paying member I would have been all over it. Just look at the
Google crap we have to put up with now compared to the sleek
sophisticated clean look of DejaNews circa 1997.
Atlernately, create a consortium of the news reading public, pay the
fee once, and share the account. The amount of traffic on this
newsgroup will never approach a bandwidth issue for them.
Carpe noctem.
