enjoy our favorite pastime leisure V:tES while eating good cheese and
drinking fine wine.
Name of event: Wine and cheese Lidingö

Winning player: Henrik Klippström
During the event i had two special prizes, one for the whiniest player
and one for the cheesiest deck.
The cheeseist deck award went to Jonathan Sjöber who was in the final
but did not win, and the whiniest player award went to Henrik
Klippström who won the turnament, his tabletalk was epic in many ways.

shift was alitte more cheese that malk 94...

Imbued played badly aren't good. They aren't cheese.
FWIW neither is Vignes, by my reckoning. You'll get
1 or 0 VPs if you don't grok the deck.
Not everyone can play Malk94 expertly, but any dope
playing them badly can still get 2VP+ fairly consistently.

It seems strange to assume that any decks would be played badly?
And regarding Vignes it's the strongest deck in the game so any
version of it will always be a big threat at any tournament.

It seems reasonable to say that there are bad, average, good,
and great players in every gathering of gamers.

You don't have many bad players in your area, do you? ;)
If Vignes is a '10' (1-10 scale) and a player of skill '5' plays it,
they are still going to less-well than a player of skill '9' playing,
say, a KS Bleed deck (a '9' deck), right?

Hmm. Differing definitions of "cheese" aside, how does one fail to
undertand Vignes? It ain't exactly rocket surgery.

It's very easy to play Vignes badly. An overaggressive Vignes deck can
easily get in trouble. The key is to know when to put on the pressure
and how much pressure to use.

Try playing it in a tournament setting. It's actually quite challenging to

Well, sure, but that's no different than the vast majority of decks
out there. The number of decks that just go mindlessly forward at the
same pace is really quite small.
But I'll take Izaak's advice and build and play it to see for myself.
Perhaps there's hidden complexity in there which can only be
experienced firsthand.
