I've traded online in the past, but its mostly just "local" now. I
bring my trade bait (rares currently not in decks, filtering out some
rares that have been reprinted to death in starters) to just about
every tournament I attend. I've found you can quickly do all the
trading your hometown group is willing to do pretty quickly, but when
you travel somewhere else you find a whole new card pool to trade
with. What is hot in their meta may be completely different than
yours, so you can all of a sudden trade a bunch of cards that would
never move back home. Unfortunately, not a lot of other people are
organized enough to bring trade bait to a tournament. A few usually do
and they are always happy to make some good trades between rounds.

Only locally. The cost (and annoyance) of shipping a handful of cards
overseas or even to another South African city makes distant trades
unappealing.

Mostly with local players, but I made few barters and brought some
cards via internet.

Secret Library http://www.secretlibrary.info/ also has inventory
management, trade list publishing, and a simple referencing system. I
use that for most of my trading activities, although most of the deals
get talked in #vtes IRC-channel in SorceryNet or face-to-face with
other players.

I've had no luck trading online and it doesn't seem worth the effort/
risk. I trade in person from time to time, mainly with a small group.

I only trade with the local group. I have started to look at some of
these trading sites recently.

I have done both trading locally and online. I have found that both
work and can work well. However, I find myself attracted to online
more with trading and ebay as I can more readily get the cards I need.
Most of the cards I end up wanting no one wants to trade or has.
I have used Presence, Path of Blood, and Yahoo Groups, but the sites
that want you to pay or subscribe aren't worth it for VTES.
