LSJ Additional Strikes

effectively 'been played' so surely she has to do something with that
additional strike, such as the default hands strike, or can she chose to not
use her additional strike?

I would say that the lack of the word optional in Lorries card text
makes the strike mandatory.

That is what we are thinking, but would be nice to have it officially.

optional, even though it does not explicitly say so?

Um, yeah. Like Boxed In's press is not optional. That is: card text.

which round does she have to use her press in?
For example, is she allowed to play card to press in the first round,
and then use her built in in the second round?
If she is allowed to choose to do that, does that mean she can choose
not to use her built in press in the first round and just not press?
Or is she required to use her mandatory press first up each combat?
and thus, if she is blocking, and the acting minion doesn't want a
second round and all they have is a press to continue, so they play
it, and then lorrie is forced to press to end?
or can you play multiple presses to continue, even if the opposing
minion has pressed to continue?

She can't press to end by her card text, so she doesn't use her press,
as the rules prohibit pressing to continue if there's already an
uncanceled press to continue. Like most situations (being grappled
after maneuvering with a gun, for example, or blocked hunting at zero
blood and play change of target), if you're forced to do something you
can't do, you do nothing instead.
I *think* that this means she still has an unused press on the second
round in your second example. It's the only thing that makes sense to
me.

She uses it as soon as it is legal to do so.

No. She uses her innate press. (Like the press from Trap or Talbot's
"sneaks in" first.)
