very short report of a small tournament run in Paris :

10 players clashed on saturday, August 7th in Paris. We didn't expect much
attendance in august but a little tournament is good training for our
upcoming national championship in Lyon, at the end of the month.
A miserable 0GW 2VP was enough to make it to the final.

Final was Dreams (Tzim wall Breath) -> Pierre B. (Daughter / Baali vote) ->
meh (Muaziz Multirush) -> Bolo (AAA .44) -> Râlabougrès (!Salubri rush
Weighted Stick)

Much of the table dynamics was created by a Pentex put into play by my prey
Bolo on a just-influenced Muaziz, and by a terrible card flow for
Râlabougrès who never drew his Sword of the Righteous. I had to negociate
with prey and grandpred to get rid of the Pentex, in exchange for letting 4
turns of peace for my pred and an all-out savage flow of rushes against my
predator, basically burying my predator, Pierre B who was playing Baali /
DoC vote. Dreams, who was playing Tzim wall, gently moved forward while his
predator !Salubri rush was busy surviving against the non-standard AAA deck
of his predator Bolo, who had a good deal of Concealed + .44 + celerity.

Pierre B. was ousted, then my new predator Dreams gave me one turn of peace
so I could rush my prey Bolo once the 4 turns of non-agression were over. I
had 5 pool or so, nothing to gain pool except the occasional Powerbase
Montreal and Dreams had 5 vampires, so I didn't have much choice. By the
time all but one of Bolo's vampire were Amaranth'ed thanks to Eye of Hazimel
+ Mayaparisatya (yeah, I gave it a shot at a challenging deck for this
tournament), Dreams used my own Pentex on Muaziz via Erciyes. I'll spare you
the fluffy details of how it was removed, suffice it to say Bolo managed to
survive down to 1 pool and no vampires till the time limit, thanks to an
Archon Investigation played on Muaziz, a few seconds before the time limit.
Dreams was the only one to have a VP so won the tournament. Congratulations
to him !

That is strange. Any idea why the crypt is exactly 14 cards instead
of, say, 12 with 2 fewer random guys?

Dunno. I do know he had slept 2 hours so I guess part of the night was used
to make the deck then fall asleep without optimizing the crypt.
