At first I thought it was because Robin didn't have 4 Homunculi, but I
think the real reason is to tempt people into taking the D action
against the coffin, and in response Robin can play 2nd Tradition and
Mental Maze, and then act that turn with Madness Network/Enkil Cog. I
wonder if it ever worked...

It'd be quite the weird scenario to have access to Sabbat-only cards
like Carrion Coffin but not have access to 4 Homunculi. :)

But...er...you can just untap by using Homunculus, so there's no
need to bait someone into letting you play 2nd Trad.

I would love to reply that it was a meta game choice against the 2
spirit marionette / heidelberg castle decks that were in the
tournament. Which incidentally did happen in game 1 due to my playing
error, saulot stole my homunculus.

But alas, it's true i only have 2 homunculus.
