I've won a few tourneys with this deck, but I'm always looking for
ways to tweak it so it runs at optimal condition. Any thoughts on
some ways to enhance the power of this deck? Perhaps some cards out of
the HttB that I haven't thought of?

Thanks for your thoughts!

You wouldn't replace the typo with the prince?

Mustafa, The Heir
Ventrue
Capacity: 6
Group: 4
Camarilla Prince of Istanbul: Once each political action, any older
Toreador controlled by another Methuselah can move 1 blood to Mustafa
to force him to cast his votes as that Toreador's controller chooses.
Artist(s): David Day
Set(s): Gehenna:U

It seems clear that this is the vampire intended to be in the deck.

I might refrain from spamming the list with three decks at the same
time, that's where I'd start.

Yes, you're correct! I used Anarch Deck Revolt Builder to make my
deck list and must have clicked on the incorrect Mustafa. Thanks for
noticing that. I'll be sure to fix it. Good catch.

I'm not trying to be a dick, it's just a lot to critique 3 decks at
the same time(and to push all other topics down three rungs). Good
luck at the tournament, Rodd!

Well I would replace Emily with Mukhtar Bey, then take out the extra
copies of Gottesman and Donaldson and put in a second Lodin and a
Johannes Castellein there instead. Your using freak drives so I would
diversify the actions, like 4x govern, 2x scouting mission, 2x enchant
kindred instead to get more mileage out of the freak drives. Couple
entrancements probably would be good also. Then I would dump the kiss
of ras, half of the conditionings, and enkil cog, probably
seductions too, add in several more voter caps and change of targets.
Would probably also drop couple majesties. You really should have
creepshow casino in there, ventrue HQ and hunting ground wont hurt
either. Then I would diversify and increase the amount of political
actions. Add in like 1 of each anarchist uprising and ancilla
empowerment, couple neonate breaches, couple conservative agitations,
and a banishment or two, maybe disputed territory also.

My newsreader doesn't "push topics down". Perhaps you are referring
to using Google to read this newsgroup? In which case, may I suggest
a proper newsreader to stop your troubles, as using a web-based tool
not designed for the threaded nature of a newsgroup (especially one
which is busy) often causes this issue.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Usenet_newsreaders

Perhaps you could ask others to give their reccomendations.
I still use Outlook Express, which works fine for me. YMMV.

Wait, what? If this newsgroup isn't for posting decks for discussion,
then I don't know what it is possibly for.

Wait, what? Again?

Rodd was posting decks to a newsgroup whose stated purpose is, among
other things, as a place for people to post decks so they can talk
about them. For which you were giving him a hard time. Which I was
confused by. So I pointed this out. What in that was a straw man?

'Spamming' doesn't necessarily mean 'posting unrelated content'.

Yeah. I know.

He was complaining that Rodd posted 3 decks in a short period of time.
Which is a silly thing to complain about as that is what the newsgroup
is for. Posting decks. It's like complaining about a sandwich shop
having a lot of sandwiches...

It strikes me as very odd not to see Creepshow Casino here. I'd
certainly run it over Archon Investigation, since it's more likely to
be useful. Metagame difference?

Fragment also looks out of place here, since anyone can just walk up
to you and take it from you, unlike Barrens.

Or it's nothing like complaining about a sandwich shop having a lot of
sandwiches. I'm fine with ending the conversation here instead of
having some semantic argument over the next couple pages. I'm glad

In the name of also avoiding a stupid semantic argument, and making
Kevin happy, I'll be non-non-specific.

It was silly to hassle Rodd for posting three decks at a time. As that
is what the newsgroup exists for. Doing things like posting decks.
Even three at a time.

about a deck or give critique, I'll just skip the thread. On the
other hand, decks give a concrete point of discussion that's valuable.

Brandon, just to be clear, I think you're awesome and I generally
agree with most of what you say. But part of the newsgroup community
is that we build it together, and find our way down a path of
agreeable etiquette together.

Other nonsense aside, read this article:

I see that you've put some good tools in this deck, but they don't
seem to focus enough, especially in the Master department.

Whatever the case, it's not a valid netiquette complaint at all. Posting
VtES decks in a VtES group is topical. Three is hardly an excessive number.
In fact, I don't know that I've ever heard anyone ever complain that,
"You're making too many topical posts to this newsgroup." There's basically
no such thing as "spamming a newsgroup" with topical posts.

Good number of Governs. Re: the comment about Enchant Kindred, Mary
Anne Blaire can do it already as an action; I'd prefer to have more
Governs instead of diversifying (at max 2 Enchant Kindred) but its a
personal preference.

More Voter Caps, Freak Dives. They are necessary for pool and action
advantage. Likewise more Perfect Paragon/Awe. Keep 1 Kiss of Ra to
dissuade No secrets. Change of Target, Daring the Dawn are iffy. Drop
some Conditionings.

Drop Fragment; you're not a wall deck. Ventrue HQ and Creepshow Casino
are essential. More Vessels/Minion Tap.

Anarchist Uprising, Banishment, Disputed Territory, Ancient Influence,
Political Stranglehold are good cards to have. Shift some KRCs to Con.

I'm reading Wikipedia:

"Usenet convention defines spamming as excessive multiple posting, that is,
the repeated posting of a message (or substantially similar messages)."

This link here goes into detail on NG spam, and several different
definitions are trotted out. None of which more closely dovetails with
Rodd's behavior than the above.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newsgroup_spam

It all depends on your level of tolerance for similar posts/deck posts.
From comments down thread, it seems like Brandon may feel like this much
request for feedback at once is too much. For me, three requests for
feedback isn't "excessive", since I don't ever plan to actually read every
deck and comment on them. As always on Usenet, YMMV.

Don't, then. Skip the thread and move on to another. Other people can
comment on them just fine, or not.

>(and to push all other topics down three rungs).

If the Google Groups interface is making it hard for you to follow
threads you want and use your time wisely, I suggest using a proper
news-reader. There are a variety of free news servers and free news
clients, which will let you follow threads you want, ignore ones you
don't want, promote some, demote others, show them in different orders,
and whatever else you want.

Please don't criticize other people for posting on-topic material to the
newsgroup because it doesn't fit with your choice of Usenet client.

90 cards is really too much for this kind of deck. Additonnally , the
