Okay, Card text first.

Flesh of Marble: Only Usable before range is chosen.
For the duration of the combat, when this vampire suffers a point of
damage (heals or is wounded or prevents destruction) in a given round,
any additional damage inflicted on this vampire in the same round is
automatically prevented. Aggravated damage cannot be prevented in this
way.

Weather Control: Only usable before range is determined on the first
round.
Both combatants and each of their retainers take 1 damage before range
is determined each round. This damage cannot be prevented. A vampire
can play only 1 Weather Control each combat.

During this year's week of nightmares it was pointed out to me that I
need to play the Flesh prior to playing the weather control, in order
for the 1 damage from Weather Control to count as the damage that
Flesh does not prevent. (it did not have any significance at the time
so I accepted the correction)

But I'm bored at work and came across this thread:
http://tinyurl.com/yunm4y

In it Mr. Coupe & Mr. Duffin are explaining the timing of pre-range
effects. If I'm reading the thread correctly the acting minion could
play weather control and flesh of marble with either card being played
first and then order the effects as they wish so that the flesh of
marble is in effect when the methuselah takes the weather control
damage, activating the flesh of marble text to prevent all future
damage this round (assume superior Protean to eliminate aggravated
damage from the equation).

However the blocking or target minion would need to play the Flesh
first prior to the weather control as the effect of Weather Control
must be resolved before getting a chance to play another card (flesh)?

Is this a correct interpretation?

I don't think so. Here's an example:
Acting Meth: I play Weather Control.
Acting Meth: I resolve the damage effect setup by Weather Control.

Then, once the damage effect is occuring, you go into the normal
"prevent damage" followed by "heal damage" steps (this is the same for
all damage effects in combat.)

During the "prevent damage" step, the defending meth can play effects
like Skin of Night, Aura Reading, or Flesh of Marble. Even though the
damage from Weather Control isn't preventable, there's still a
"prevent damage" step.

So as far as I can tell, you will always be able to play your Flesh of
Marble before the damage from Weather Control resolves, regardless of
acting or defending Meth.
